    Revert the wildfire “bug fix”

    “An issue wherein the machinist PvP action Wildfire counted the damage over time effect of Bioblaster as attack actions required for detonation.”

    I take umbrage with you calling this an issue. This was literally the only thing holding MCHs kit together and since this change the job feels broken, THAT is the issue.

    Wildfire sucks, if you can’t trigger it in 2 seconds the enemy is either dead already or gets away and heals and shrugs off wildfire when it finally explodes.

    Bioblaster sucks, for the same reason.

    Scattergun is a little better but still isn’t something you’ll ever want to be in a position to use on a squishy ranged job.

    So all these moves suck and outside of your machinery combo (most of which is locked BEHIND bioblaster) they are all you have.

    But before the patch these moves that all sucked individually came together and created a combo that made them suddenly work. Bioblaster had a purpose, it became your combo opener, priming a target for wildfire, wildfire could now be fully loaded and triggered fast enough to actually matter and scattergun made it so you could push the enemy away getting you back at a safe distance. All this in the span of 1 GCD and letting you go back to the meat of your machinery rotation.

    But with this single change to wildfire all that goes away. Bioblaster is no better at triggering wildfire than any other move so there’s no reason to use it other than the fact you HAVE to use it. Wildfire has all the issues detailed above and no way to circumvent them and while scattergun again remains somewhat useful it’s not something you ever want to be in a position to have to use.

    In short, I think this change to wildfire has broken MCH, wildfire should have been updated to ACCOMMODATE the way it was being used, not patched out. The way it worked before felt like it made sense. Now all these moves feel broken, like they don’t have any synergy and the one thing that made it feel worthwhile to put ourselves at risk using bioblaster is now gone.

    I am actively convinced that they always want to make sure Machinist is bad and therefore isn't allowed to use his things unless he's made a free kill for the enemy.

    Opening Bioblaster to THEN slap Wildfire was my favorite move on the class, especially if you follow it with a primed Air Anchor for a stunned low-health target. You could almost guarantee the kill with the LB at that point because even if it didn't kill and the guy went for a Purify-Guard, he would just die due to being low health on the DoT of Bio.

    But instead... They increased Scatter Gun to 6k and made the Turret shield you more as if you're actually supposed to use it like that...

    I hate balance guy so much...

    Playing this week with MCH, it feels like they just took a wrench to one of my bread and butter combos and buried it for no reason calling it a "fix".

    There was only one way to use Wildfire effectively and that was properly setting up a bioblaster/wildfire combo, and now there is basically no use for bio other than putting yourself in unnecessary danger. With how things are, wildfire itself takes WAY too much set up to actually be of use in any situation.

    I would greatly appreciate a revert of this "fix", as soon as possible.

    I feel like I have to point out that this is exactly the same problem of PvE machinist as well...
