As you also prefer solo play, maybe a plot on Materia (The Oceanic Sever) might be an option?

You will need to wait a week or so for SE to fix their bugs, but if you do a free transfer to Zurvan or Bismarck you can have your pick of plots in any of the cities. Even larges are still up for grabs. Sophia is the roleplay server, like Balmung, but the plots are a little tighter there.

Ping is ok, and the smaller servers have a nie country town feel about them. Friendly people.

Make an alt and come look, and consider transferring your main once the lottery is running.
