So basically, the change negatively impacted:
    - The foundational theme of the SAM class, leaving it to just be a mindless rotation with filler moves, robbed of any exciting build up
    - How engaging the class was to play and the level of involvement a player needed to actually pay attention
    - The look and feel in that instead of a flowing rotation (with shinten only when kaiten wasn't needed) that was enjoyable to see and was a direct visual trigger for that exciting build up the class used to experience, mentioned just above.

Certainly, the problem is a little bit more then just Kaiten removal. If our finishers still are hitting like floppy pool noodles, then kaiten coming back will only resolve a portion of the problem... But kaiten's removal itself is a glaring highlight of all of this and SE moving in the complete opposite direction of what appears to be what most of the SAM community (US, JP, and other data-centers, as well as even other players from other classes) are speaking out against.

We want class jobs to keep their distinct themes, we don't want the game dumbed down to boneheaded levels, and likely the most jarring issue... We simply want to continue to play the class we originally picked and enjoyed... Not constantly re-assess where we find joy in the game because SE keeps tinkering and removing the parts we like and changing the game play of what we have been enjoying for the past 5 years or so...

I am also a sam main who plays on controller, and I'd much rather have a choice between Kaiten or Shinten. Especially considering the fact that with the removal of Kaiten, not only does the job feel less smooth but it also did not at all decrease the amount of buttons I press. All this change did was eliminate my options and need for kenki management. If you have "too many buttons to press" on a controller all this tells me is that you have not at all explored how much customization they've built into the game with controllers in mind. You can fairly easily use 3 hotbars without ever having to tab over to the next one, there are guides everywhere on youtube on how to do it. But sure, let's dumb down the job for no reason, make putting any time into learning it pointless, all for the sake of players like you that can't be bothered to read or search for information

That's because the devs put the wrong stat values on the new alliance raid gear. So something somewhere had been shifted during the 6.11 patch update

Are you kidding me? Controller was fine, this isn't a problem they're trying to solve. I pkay on controller and I do pretty okay on current savage tier.

You're being baited into arguing against controller users (who may or may not even benefit from 6.1), when in fact you should save that for the dev teams.

With the removal of Kaiten they could've also removed Kenki as a whole since you dont have to manage it anymore. Put Shinten on a cooldown and you have the same result.
And Skills like Meditate, Hagakure and Ikishoten could reduce the cooldown of shinten or give a second charge etc.

They learned nothing form giving WAR guaranteed crit and ruin SAM with it as well.

I'm late to the party, and I'm not a SAM main, but I am a controller player who just organized their SAM hotbar to prepare for leveling and I have to say: where is this unmanageable bloat people keep talking about with SAM? I have more than enough space to have fit Kaiten onto my hotbars taking into account the new buttons I don't yet have.

A lot of the button bloat thing was just an excuse. They jumped around quite a bit on them for their half-assed plans for samurai.

If button bloat was a problem, samurai was not one class that had it.

"for a controller player is the removal of the skill hissatsu kaiten very good"
    sorry, what?
coming from an fellow controller player, imagine having a button you use more than other.
might aswel make all 3 combos into 3 buttons, afteral, you're using them too much (or not enough space? that's on you my friend, i got 2 hotbars available at all times, the literal meme of "git gud" applies here)
might aswel remove Iaitsu, you're using them too much, you know, let's remove everything and add 1 button that you have to press.

this is just stupid, if you think the removal of Kaiten is gonna make SAM play easier on controller you're dead wrong. (as an former SAM controller main)
