Why lyse is not kicked out of scions for being hot headed

I mean, most of the scions can be calm but she is the only scion that does not use her head. I thought you should use more brain the brawn while being in scions of seven dawn.
She doesn't think of consequences, she just acts. While I hate gnome characters, at least Papalymo, used his brain and scolded yda(lyse) many times for not using his brain first.

All I'll say is complete the 3.56 MSQ. That explains her role in the Scions. Completing the 4.0 MSQ will give you additional information. All the information you need to answer your question is included on those if you don't skip cutscenes.

Well, the fact you know her name is Lyse suggests you know the whole story.

But why would she be kicked out of the Scions? She has done literally nothing wrong. Especially compared to Alphinaud, who's still a member of the Scions despite outright causing international incidents and nearly getting an entire allied government deposed. If the bar for getting booted is so low that Alphinaud is above it, then Lyse is fine.

All this assumes the scions of the 7th dawn is a professional organization run with an actual code of ethics and not an adventuring association/free company with delusions of grandeur

Basically what cleretic said. If you kicked out lyse for being hot headed, alphinaud should've been kicked out way earlier. And alisae is hot headed too. The only reason she hasn't done anything stupid is because the story doesn't allow it.

This is a faulty premise. Lyse isn't a hothead. She actually shows restraint more often than not. Hotheaded compared to a lot of other Scions who'd sit inside, reading and wondering just to triple check that they don't make a boo boo blunder? Sure. Compared to actual hotheads? Nah.

Her only real fault is being a bit brusque with her speech. I think the most "hothead" thing that she does in the entirety of the story is seeing Zenos and yelling, "You're a dead man!" Before attacking him, not knowing his strength.

All of the Scions have a distinct role, Thancred is the spymaster, Urianger is the historian, Y'shtola the aeterologist, Alphinaud the diplomat, Papalymo was "louisouix's proxy" (being a weak role certainly helped to have him dying instead of another scion), even the Wol has a role as the muscle, but Yda\Lyse never brought anything to the table.

I think you got it the wrong way round

Papalymo was Lyse's babysitter. Thus when they had planned for Lyse to go they no longer needed him. Papalymo was always the preferred one of the two, thats why he gets a death scene.
Lyse just got wrote out alongside raubhan. Raubahn basically runs the show in ala mhigo now.

Yda/Lyse's role in the Scions was sheer martial prowess. Before we turn up she's the one with exceptional combat ability as her main Thing, and honestly until about Heavensward I'd have still put money on her over the WoL in any context that isn't primal-fighting. We just didn't see a massive amount of that, because people tend to get a little annoyed when other characters take the action scenes in an action game.

Also, you forgot two very important parts of the Scions, and their roles:
Tataru as the accountant and administrator; god knows how many organizations would fall apart the moment there isn't someone at the front desk.
Minfilia as the diplomat, except that she's actually good at it. Minfilia's the reason you got into all those meetings and were immediately on good terms with all the major forces on the continent.
