Why Alphinaud and Alisaie are so well treated despite being just kids

I mean, they are 16 years of age, who in their right minds would accept them in any military organization. I mean nero and sid garland are grown-ups like most of the member's scions of seven dawn. Of course, Louisoix Leveilleur was an all-powerful mage but what have they accomplished that nearly all people call them not by name but also you could say title, we withness many times people referring to Alisaie as a mistress.

They were 16 years old when the game begins during ARR. As time has passed, they are older. Sprirtually, we know on the First, they are much older now than they look.

Palom and Porom are like five year old kids AND they're the WoLs despite Cecil and Kain being in their 20's, so really why not lol. I always just thought it was because Alph and Alisaie are rich kids so they have some scope of influence with that, plus overtime Alphi is well-known in the Scions for being the delegator and speaker for politics. He's your right-hand man after all and essentially your voice.

Ali gets referred to as "mistress" because it's the polite greeting, not through anything special I think.

Sixteen-year-olds are regarded as adults in Sharlayan, and perhaps in the other city-states as well.

They're at an awkward stage physically where Elezen mature slower than other races, so seem younger to us than they should be, but in that world I think people would have to get used to putting those impressions aside and treating them like adults if they know they're adults. (Having to regard the childlike Lalafells as equal adults probably also changes their natural perception a bit.)
