Question regarding aetherytes

I'm loath to try to in-universe every aspect of something that is an abstraction of "you arrive at your destination safely", but in the same way that the aetheryte is a beacon along the lifestream to which you are drawn, you probably have enough of a feel for the aether of people and objects near the aetheryte when you arrive that you can avoid, consciously or unconsciously, rematerializing inside someone or something.
