Worst housing system in history

since ffxiv doesnt care about housing and all legit people will never have a chance to own a house . theres barely enough plots to support 1 out of every 10,000 players on top of that its a lottery meaning theres a chance even after a trillion tries you will never win because its not like your luck goes up after everytime you lose... you may never actually win and once all plots are taken wait another 6-7 years for a post saying "we apologize for the inconvenience we will be busy working on renaming emotes instead of improving housing thank you for your patience as we fix nothing".

Worst housing system in the world atleast in real life if you live in the most expensive city you can over bid and atleast get what you want after over paying here in ffxiv doesnt matter what the price is you could have multi billion gil but theres no gurantee you will literally ever win a single plot ever since its luck based.

cant wait for all the comments from entitled people already have a plot to bash on this post with responses featuring "oh i already have a plot so you shouldnt complain and pretend housing problem isnt a real problem " even though we all pay to get access to the same game yet housing isnt available for everyone. Even though its advertised as a part of the game .

I actually won the lotto system, thing is, I didn't have the gil my wealthy lala friend who leads a secret society of other wealthy lala's who plot to take over the world lent me 3m and let me in on her secret ways of going to a high number ward near the end of the list and going to the subdivisions. Was a day before the end of the lotto and only like a max of 8 people on some plots with some plots only having 2 applicants. We, and the other members of my FC all put ours in and almost all of us won accept 1 who got the roll zero glitch. So I got a house, she got a house, we basically all live in the same ward. And this was just me bragging.

I actually agree with you on how housing is broken. I don't think they'll do instanced housing simply due to the fact ya'll forgetting the servers couldn't handle regular gameplay at the launch of Endwalker due to all the damn WOW refugees and new players. They just fixed that. Now imagine that problem but multiply by 1000x. Instanced housing for just about every player, servers having to support not only everyone in their housing (or most) but hosting all their stuff. Not to mention dealing with those people who buy it just to buy it and put 1 vase down and never use it again having the server host their house and that 1 vase. The only way I see them doing instanced housing is maybe it's it's small and restricted to apartments and have a flush system for those who don't use it. And even then it'll probably end up costing an extra fee on your subscription just to support that.

lucky you and congrats but it seems like basically why cant they just announce with a post saying "everyone you cant have housing only some can because we cant afford enough housing areas for every player in the game due to server capacity and us not having the budget to upgrade servers to be able to handle such capacity."

Let me put it this way; let's say you wanted to be able to fly. On your own, like Superman.

Someone says, "Well, here are little personal airplanes you can get, like this Piper Super-Cub..." But hey, those cost money, and you need to get a license. They admit that having to spend a whole bunch of money on an airplane and get a license and all isn't an ideal system.

You don't like this idea. You say, "So your solution is to just use airplanes and not fly like Superman?"

What do you expect the person to do? Yes, it would be awesome to be able fly like Superman; we can all (probably) agree on that. That it would be awesome does not change the fact that it is also not practical. Saying "you cannot fly like Superman" is not a statement that it wouldn't be cool, nor a 'solution' to anything. It's an observation that, given the situation at hand (i.e., you are presumably human), flying like Superman is not possible. No matter how much we might say it would be cool.

The game's architecture, as it stands, almost certainly cannot support instanced housing. (I will not detail the reasons for this here, because it would be a lot of text, and I already wrote all that text in the thread I linked to. I don't want to write it again; even I have my limits for how much text I want to generate on a forum.)

Or, to put it another way: "instanced housing", in the case of how FFXIV's server architecture seems to work, is akin to "flying like Superman".

Making the game support instanced housing would very likely require burning down the servers and rewriting them from the ground up to work in very different ways. That would be more or less the same scenario as when 1.x was burned down and they built A Realm Reborn on the ashes; it's not likely they're going to reboot the MMO a second time solely to solve housing issues.

Would instanced housing be nice? Sure, I'd like to have it.

I'd also like to fly like Superman.

i literally have over 800 mil with a large fc and a personal house im not sure if you can read or what ... . You're repeating yourself with 0 proof. You worked "hard which increased your chances" prove what you just typed how does working hard in the game increase your lottery winning chances . Prove with full details and references.

Hey look at me. With a mansion. Surely my plan worked. More gil = more bids = better odds. Add a bit of research on which plot less bids which ward less bids and you increase odds further. Trust me your problem is you are probably poor. Complaining about house is like Complaining about your irl problem without putting in the effort. Get good. And stop complaining. Housing limitation is there and it's not going anywhere. If u want a mansion go earn gil and u will eventually get one as opposed to sitting on 50mil gil expecting you are the king and u deserve everything. Ur sub fee is for the game access not for every aspect of the game. It's like me saying I pay the sub why is UCOB only locked for 2% player base skill. Just get good, you are just poor.
