We've seen from the new WOW reveal that there will be a new flight mechanic which is not actually true flight but will involve physical forces - momentum, gravity and the like.

Having come to FF14 from GW2, they have similar flying mounts as well where flight is really fun and not just a way to travel from point A to B in a straight line while ignoring all terrain restrictions.

Please give us similar flight mechanics for 7.0 or earlier so instead of having to travel everywhere on foot again, we can fly (but limited and fun)!

Really bad idea, it's enough that WoW is now desperate enough to copy other MMOs but you don't have to make everything the same actually. If you like the GW2 systems then go play GW2, it's a crazy revolutionary idea i know but you can actually play...two MMOs!

FF14 has easy to access flight and that is good, same as the GW2 system is good.

So please stop with the "I play this MMO now so i have to change it into what i liked about this other MMO" attitude. Just play the other MMO then.

This entire game would not exist in its current state if it hadn't heavily borrowed from WoW. Yoshida has said in no uncertain terms. I don't really mind them borrowing good aspects of other games.

Yes but there is a difference between blatantly just stealing other ideas and you know taking some inspiration from others.

As i said if you make every MMO the same it will only hurt the game in the long run. Better to make it your own instead of going around and literally stealing (WoW basically copy pasted GW2 in this case) from other games.

I'm waiting for the Dragonriding system to end up another one of WoW's crash and burn failures when it turns out you'll need to grind some weird dragon energy feed for 6 months before your dragon can do more than plummet nose-down into the ground.

FFXIV also doesn't have the zone design for such a system to be interesting. Top of the skybox is already fairly low and we don't have the seamless zone transitions that WoW has.
