Crystaline conflict is fun...short of few things that make it that really makes it annoying,
Here's some suggestions that can help with current CC gameplay:
as person that plays a lot of PVPs in games nerfs aren't always a good thing i'd heavily suggest for buffs rather then nerfs why? fun is priority, it's fun when you are strong, have utility and make difference in team, so i'll avoid talking about class balancing or class nerfs meanwhile (with WHM obviously on spot):
1. Make ranked either a role lock queue, or establish a DIFFERNT queue(for ranked) like Overwatch whereas there's 2 different queues, if you want a role lock (1 healer, 1 tank, 1 ranged,1 melee,1anyDPS)
you'd queue in it but expect to take longer time in queue but you'd get balanced team and the enemy would too so the aspect of unfairness would feel way less then the current state, AND keeping the current queue as faster matchmaking option.
2. While I see many people wanting a flex queue(being able to queue up with anyone as premade team) I'd suggest for it to be locked in Casual, or have casual Flex queue for parties of 2 and upwards, because if you want quick queue in casual to just have fun without sweating and you get premade against you trying hard isn't really going to be enjoyful.
3. Add deminishing returns for chain Crowd controls cause not being able to play for solid 5+seconds of CC isn't really enjoyful let alone balanced, i'd say make it so that any CC following first CC by 2-3seconds would be decreased to 1second.
4.it's early to say but i'd hope for adding different styles of map gameplays rather then "Push the point" style, CTF(capture the flag) or straight up deathmatch would be fun.
5. Have roles share a specific ability that helps them, e.g WHM's polymorph is very useful (although not being able to purify it is huge minus) shared with all healers, similar to how WAR's pull is extremely useful for all tanks, and BRD/DNC sharing same ability, casters and melees etc.
