First off I've been around for a bit now something in the area of 1400 days subbed in total over the last few year so I have seen a lot from this game. I want to say that lately things have been looking bleak with the state of FFXIV. Since I reinstalled last year I have been plagued with constant launch errors almost everyday. I have done complete game wipes and installs to try and remedy said errors with no luck. Since my last install which was less then a week ago I have now multiple errors i.e the same launch crash I had before and now I have begun to have the audio bug error that I gave read about on the forums. I was excited to see new housing come in so I could get a house and do gardening and things I used to do so I bid on the new housing. I was one of the unlucky one who's plots was tangled in the winner was ticket "0" fiasco so no housing for me I guess. What make me upset is that they added over 1000 plots for FC and made plots that used to be private now FC only so effectively without a FC of my own my chances for a house are almost gone. Now thinking logically it easy to see at least on my World there are a significant number of remaining plots left in the FC well over 100 I am guessing but no FC's to fill them. Not so great for the people don't have a stake in an FC and would like to own a plot for private use our choices are moot due to the lack of overall private housing. Nice fix for an already bad situation add more then needed to one section of housing and leave the other to fend for them selves fighting for scraps. If a Dev would like to reply to my post with tips on how to fix my errors that would be great but I don't expect that they really care about my problems or concerns as it seems the things they focus on fixing is a mere drop in the pond from what I believe most people are concerned with. So lets state the facts, Housing broke beyond repair as long as they continue to allow 1000 plus plots focused on FC only. PVP broken as long as it remains one sided toward dps. Constant crash errors and audio errors. I also forgot to mention I have an error where my game constantly tries to resize my game window or minimizes when in full screen that is fun to. Please FFXIV figure out solutions that actually help the regular player base and not the 10 percent kind of seems like your drifting toward the WoW side of things and catering toward one specific group and not the whole game as a community. I love FFXIV have for awhile but it seems they may not love us as much. Also I am no English major so I am sure my post is horrible criticize if you must.

So because you have had launch errors, the state of the entire game that over a million other people play without these errors is bleak?

I was one of the unlucky one who's plots was tangled in the winner was ticket "0" fiasco so no housing for me I guess.

0 means that the result was not available, so I would suggest checking again once everything is resolved in case you did win.

I mean this isn't the only reason the game and direction it is currently travelling in is bleak

Okay, so your PC that we shall refer to as 'Potato' has an issue with the launcher. No error mentioned, nothing to see exactly what the issue is. My account is over twice as old as yours, and I don't believe I've ever had an issue with the launcher and I have different computers, different configurations and they all launch FFXIV just fine. Let's not really try blaming SE for this one... let's look at Potato and see where it needs to be fixed first?

Ah yes, 'Doom and Gloom'. You do realize that everyone that has that bug hasn't won anything yet, right? You know those also haven't been awarded and they have not been taken away, right? You do read the updates on Lodestone, right? Right?

And if you would have been playing for at least half as long as your account length, you'd know that this isn't the first time this has happened, and you would know just by reading about housing that they have the ability to, and are going to change these in cycles so housing can still be first come, first serve, lottery and opened to not just FCs but residential housing too.

Oh yes please! Let's state facts! Waiting. Still waiting. Oh right, none here. 'broken beyond repair' - so I guess the fix they have coming after today's patch is just a myth right? They aren't really going to fix it, restore the data like they stated they are doing and get us housing. Got it. Okay, hold your breath for that. FCs have been the focus of housing since it was first implemented. Even your fellow doom and gloom posters know this. It just spread to personal buyers later. I already covered this above.

Your 'Potato' needs to be looked at - seriously. It's just you having all these issues, so the game must be dying and is on it's last legs. The other 36.9 million or so I think might state otherwise, but that's just a guess. But your one PC just killed the game for everyone. Devs rarely, if ever post here, and they don't troubleshoot your issues. Your issues are yours to get fixed - it's your PC. If you want to post something useful, such as maybe some screenshots or type the error messages you have, maybe some people can help. End of the world post about 'facts' though with none of that isn't winning points.

About the errors it would be nice if you could specify where you play the game but I'm sure there's a technical support section around here.

No I will not fix the original post thanks though don't read if you want. No the game seems to be slipping backwards. I mean really an entire patch for just PVP corrections and some new content. I only dealt with PVP because I have a problem with mounts and collecting but for fixes to be made that don't focus the main issues of PVP seems silly. Housing is a major problem and the current lottery has not fixed but one aspect the endless abyss of waiting for that magic unknown window to open so you can buy a house. There is no need for 1000 FC plots when there are not 1000 FC to fill them. I don't have an FC and probably won't join one again for awhile. I play with maybe 5 other people on the regular all in different FC's. I am certain I am not the only one who wants a house and sees hundreds of plots open for FC usage and maybe 20 (in the new housing) open for private use. Maybe make it where FC master can't own a private plot and an FC plot? Clipping on all most all models when wearing certain gear. Thought we were getting graphics changes? Errors present for years with no fixes or answers to why they are happening. They can add new stuff all day but not fixing the problems at hand that players face is where they let us all down.

This tells us exactly nothing. Well except for the fact that you could use some more RAM. 8 GB is just not enough these days anymore, and just because your hardware may be on the newer side, though the video card is already two generations old about to be 3, doesn't mean the launcher error isn't on your end. It could be OS related, could be another program altogether causing problems, or your hardware could have developed a problem. Without knowing what the error is no one is going to be able to help you resolve this.
