Let's talk about something "odd"

I don't know if others have been paying attention to the leaderboards for CC but it is really interesting that the first place on some DCs like Primal has an almost 4k lead on the next highest. Now they might just be really really good at PvP and play all the time or maybe just maybe they are win trading (a very well-known issue in ffxiv PvP).

It's fairly well-documented that there is win-trading and match rigging going on; typically using alt accounts owned by the number 1 player themselves and/or their friends.

Which is why I feel like having ranked rewards instead of strictly tiered ones was a mistake.

I think they should remove top 100 rewards and just have tier rewards. It's a shame the top spots are all win traders, but like others say, if they didnt sort it during the feasts lifetime, chances of them sorting it now are pretty low. I just tell myself it's a race to the bottom. If someone wants to spend thousands of hours for an adventuter plate border that 99.9% of people wont ever see, then that's their loss. The effort doesn't equal the reward at all, and to be quite honest, I'd be very curious to see if this continues past S1. With The Feast, it made sense because the gear/mounts/minions were ultra exclusive so had a high degree of "look at me" flexyness. But these borders are actually less impressive looking than the one you get for just being sat in Crystal tier so eh.

I agree. Maybe something like "reach 5000p in crystal rank" for a personal reward instead of competing for spots.

Having any pvp rewards was a mistake. People should be doing it for the fun! Right?

So swap those rewards over to PVE content and let PVP exist on its own merit. I am sure this well balanced and engaging game mode will continue to be popular even if it has no rewards or glamours attached to it.
