Hi , my first post here.
I read some post like whether to stay in ffxiv if we need to pay or is the game getting better ....

I like to suggest to post on other forum , like wow, rift, aion, diablo, or any mmorpg that has/had large population. Tell them the reason why you and will stay in ffxiv and difference....

Nothing is more promising than to tell other player of how you feel about this game , to invite(motivate/attract) them to join us.

Let se do their work on fixing the game, that the least thing I think to help ffxiv as a player.

Posting on WoW, Rift, Aion servers would be a bad idea... To those communities FFXI was the worst game ever made until FFXIV which tooks its place. There is nothing good about anything SE makes. That is group mentality. You would basically get 100s of posters posting exactly that same Garbage that Gifthorse posted as a response to this thread.

I wouldn't really want to come here and have to sort through a bunch of posts promoting WoW, Rift, Aion, Eve Online, etc.

It's only fair that we don't flood the forums for other games with posts promoting FFXIV. Honestly at this point the game isn't really ready for that type of publicity anyway.

If players really want info on FFXIV, they will most likely come here (or to one of the other fansites) to get it, and vice versa.

I would have to agree here. With the exception of a very small minority, the type of player who likes Rift/Aion/WoW does not like FFXI, and definitely not this.

Which is part of the reason that many of us don't want to see this game become just another clone of those listed above.
