    Healing potions & Phoenix Down (Revision Idea)

    Dear Square Enix developers would it be beneficial to change the way dps/and tanks heal themselves?

    Can we have healing skills removed or "Nerfed" related to dps and tanks. for the regular use of healing potions; ones that scale to the dungeons, raids and open world content we run. I feel like their use has gone stale for higher tiers and would like to see them revisited in all content. I don't know if this was requested previously.

    And I feel that phoenix downs should be an instant use a kin to potions. But with a carry limit of 5 stacks. With multiple uses per dungeon and one use per raid; per player. To limit the players from overuse. I believe this would improve the quality of gameplay and lessen frustrations.

    I always wondered why we even have healing pots and such.
    They are pretty much useless and never used.
    It would be nice if people actually had a use for them during content.

    No it is outdated content and no longer needed other than STR / INT / DEX boost and food.
    I don't want to spend my entire day with crafting before raid.

    Additional preparation for needed consumables extra layer of chore work IMO.

    No thanks, current self healing is convenient and far from being overpower for dps.

    As for the phœnix down, as i see it you should be able to stack 99 in your inventory but be limited to only one use per boss fight and as you said yeah make it instant.

    I think everyone knew about this to some degree but the items i see that retain the most usage and this mostly deals with raiding is tincture potions. And I feel like the reason gameplay for pve content gets dull is because there's no real interaction with healing potions, gold needles, antidotes ect. It really needs to be kept up to date like the other content. I wouldn't mind if war and pld were the most heal centric tank classes. But also nerfing their potencies would make up for the use of potions effective again in that regard when needed.

    Did it occur to you that the TC might be asking for the devs to change this "outdated content" problem so that they'd, you know, no longer be outdated?

    Yes, please! Certain jobs, like Dancer, Dark Knight, Paladin, Monk and Red Mage make sense to have their own self sustain capabilities, but the rest just don't.

    I really like the way new PVP made healing potions relevant again and would LOVE for a similar system to the PvP potions be reworked into the PvE side of the game.

    They can start with deleting gysahl greens and assign chocobo summon skill in chocobo menu..
    Also they can try seperate tokens / totems / books from main inventory, or.. they can provide additional inventory space before filling it more clutter.

    If they are going to sell those potions in NPC shop with small price tag I am totally okay with it but no forced crafting please. I will buy 2000x and put it skill bar and forget about it use it as skill, same as eureka.

    With how unresponsive items feel in combat, I do not need them being any more useful than they currently are. That is to say, not useful at all. I already feel like using my 1-2 pots per fight is too much of a gamble if the input is going to go through or disappear somewhere in spaghetti code and animation lock.

    It's funny, because I actually always keep a stack of HQ Super-Potions and HQ Super-Ethers around, as well as Echo Drops, Spine Drops, and Antidote. Most of those (Echo Drops, Spine Drops, Antidote, Super-Potions) are because I run deep dungeon content -- including attempting solo runs -- and those are super useful in a solo run. (But Spine Drops are useful even in other instances when an entire party gets paralyzed and I'm not the healer -- I can just cleanse my own paralysis and make one less thing the healer needs to deal with Esuna'ing.)

    But Super-Ethers, I mostly have used in PF PUG progression of savage fights. When you need to pick up a lot of folks off the floor as quickly as possible, being able to instantly replenish a big chunk of your MP is super useful. Not so much in savage after progression, because your potions will likely be on a big cooldown timer after popping a raid pot, but during progression? Having those Super-Ethers has been a thing I'm very glad about on more than one occasion.
