Hello!
I've now started to try out how tanking feels like. And I was wondering in which lower level dungeons I can assume that everyone (or at least every DPS) has at least one AOE attack skill.
Anyway, that's what I found out by checking https://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/jobguide/battle/:
Tanks:
Dark Knight (DRK), 6, Unleash
Gunbreaker (GBR), 10, Demon Slice
Paladin (GLA/PAL), 6, Total Eclipse
Warrior (MAR/WAR), 10, Overpower
DPS:
Black Mage (BLM), 12, Blizzard II
Dancer (DNC), 15, Windmill
Red Mage (RDM), 15, Scatter
Bard (ARC/BRD), 18, Quick Nock (cone AOE)
Machinist (MCH), 18, Spread Shot
Reaper (RPR), 25, Spinning Scythe
Monk (MNK), 26, Arm of the Destroyer
Samurai (SAM), 26, Fuga
Summoner (ACN/SMN), 26, Outburst
Ninja (NIN), 38, Death Blossom
Dragoon (DRG), 40, Doom Spike
Healers:
Astrologian (AST), 45, Gravity
Sage (SGE), 26, Phlegma ([edited] huge recast time)
Sage (SGE), 46, Dyskrasia
Scholar (ACN/SCH), 46, Art of War
White Mage (CNJ/WHM), 45, Holy
If above data are correct, this means:Why I created the list: I'm reluctant to pulling mob packs, when most of the party has no AOE attack to "burn 'em down". Or am I being overcautious?
- At The Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak (lvl 24), only 9 of the 19 jobs have an AOE attack.
- At Haukke Manor (lvl 28) it's 14 of the 19 jobs.
- At The Stone Vigil (lvl 41), every tank and DPS has one.
- The Aurum Vale (lvl 47) is the lowest dungeon where everyone (incl. healers) has at least one AOE attack.
