I'm sorry that you feel it necessary to label me as a, "Troll." simply on the case that I have differing opinions and feelings about Kaiten, and it's removal.

Also, feedback goes both ways, and there being a difference in opinions and feelings, certainly would be valued over just being dismissed because it doesn't echo what others have said.

But no hard feelings, I know it must be hard on SAM mains to have the job's identity removed due to one less skill on their bars. No one likes changes to their favorite/main job, unless they are good buffs, ect.

I hope that, people will start to see, that having a consistency to their DPS, with certain skills auto-critting, brings a certain level of elegance to the job, having a feel of being a true master of the blade with precise strikes and alike, opposed to a brute going HAM with a katana in hand.

Happy Travels, and have a Great Day!!!

Kaiten was a big part of what made it feel elegant before, serving as a wind-up skill for that precise strike you're talking about - simply popping Iaijutsu is what feels like going ham.

That said, I actually have nothing against auto-crit - I can see lowering variance as a worthy goal and that solution makes sense.

The problem is that in the current iteration, the auto-crit feels weak. The new guaranteed crit hits for less than our previous non-crits hit for, and I say that literally.

imo the auto-direct-crit that warriors get when using Berserk and Infuriate feels satisfying even though it's auto, and I'd argue that there's 2 primary reasons for that:

    1) Warriors have a wind-up skill for their auto-direct-crits - Berserk or Infuriate - which largely serve the same function that Kaiten used to, and they're not actually auto - they're only auto when prepped with a wind-up.

    2) When warriors auto-direct-crit a Fel Cleave, for example, it does WAY more damage than their kit typically outputs, making it feel extremely impactful.

Samurai no longer has a wind-up skill and also no longer does way more damage with their auto-crits relative to the rest of their kit - and not because of potency nerfs, but because of the removal of Kaiten.
