Errors during Cutscenes, And dungeons

Okay, So I know a lot of people have been having this issue. To Clearify. I have NEVER had this issue. Not even when I upgraded to Endwalker back in March. I went through the Shadowbringers MSQ Cutscenes, dungeons and side quests with NO issue. I went through Endwalker's MSQ, Cutscenes, and dungeons with no issues.

but when 6.1 dropped. The first issue I had was the NEW MSQ stuff. I couldn't get past the first cutscene no matter what I did. It would either CTD, or give a Directx 11 error. I fixed this by repairing the game... and it worked. and was fine. Though I had noticed that my game was seriously lagging, and at times would have Audio cut out and back on randomly when playing the game. My game has NEVER done this before. 2 days ago, I was working on my SHadowbringers Relic weapon, and I got the Directx 11 error once again. and fixed this by turning all my settings down, and switching it to directx 9. At first, it didn't work, but a few tries and I got through the cutscenes just fine.

TODAY. I decide I am gonna try out the trust system. and go into the first Shadowbringers Dungeon (I forget the name) Things go fine.. Till I get to the first boss. My game errors and it's a completely different error to the Directx 11 error. It was a ndtl.dll error or something like that. I got back into the game, killed the first boss, figured "Okay was just a error. Should be fine." NOPE! Every boss in that dungeon errored me with this same error. I got through the dungeon but errored like 5 times... I've never had this issue even when I did these dungeons during the Shadowbringers MSQ. Now I will admit, My Graphics card is an old card. (I'm on a old laptop and don't have the money to get a better one) and hasn't been updated because Nvidia is no longer doing updates for my card. However, Considering I went through all the MSQ, all the Dungeons before 6.1 and didn't have an issue... I'm kinda thinking it's on your side. I've googled, I've tried to find solutions and have tried multiple times. But just NOTHING. Please tell me you guys are looking into this apparent long time issue?

and to answer simple questions. Yes all my stuff is updated. I have no new windows 10 updates. No graphics driver updates. Everything to my knowledge is up to date. And to also point out. My computer isn't getting hot during play (Unless I am in Ul'dah, cause on Balmung there are so many people.) and it's barely taking up memory or CPU or Disk on task Manager. I am gonna try disabling some stuff on start up, and will Update if things improve. I will also say that I generally play the game in Window Mode. I tried in the dungeon I was getting errors from in Borderless Window Mode and it seemed okay.

Edit: so I had a chat with a FC buddy of mine, and it actually could very well be my rig that is the issue. I'm on a laptop that's a bit old, but still runs great. But it's odd cause before 6.1 I wasn't having any issues with cutscene errors, which seems to be my issue. and it only seems to effect SHB and EW stuff.

Update: Okay so I just did Holminster Switch (The one that was crashing me) through Duty Support in Borderless Window mode. No crashes. Little bit of lag, but I think that was my internet. (My net is just terrible) I will continue to test and keep this updated as best I can.

Update 2: Okay so I just did the same dungeon again. Everything went smooth till I exited the dungeon and went to teleport to Limsa. As soon as I tried to teleport. CTD. No error just a CTD. I had been online for maybe 45 mins to an hour. Not sure what's causing it to just CTD. only thing running in the backround is Discord and Firefox, CPU, Memory and Disk are all fine. *shrugs*

Edit: I just logged back in and well. It did teleport me to Limsa. I honestly don't know what's happening.

Update 3: Okay, so I was teleporting around and well. I teleported to Tamamizu in Ruby Sea and I got a FFXIV_Dx11.exe error. I tried to lower all my settings to the lowest they can be. And still got the error. However, when I switched to Dirextx 9. The error didn't appear. I tried to get a screenshot of the error, but for some reason my pc was refusing to screenshot =/ I'm thinking honestly it's my laptop. But still. I also figured maybe it had something to do with the water, but obviously. That's not the case as I said. Lowered all my settings. I also know that this issue has been going on for the longest time. We will see what the hotfix does. If I can get a screenshot of the errors I will put them here.

Whelp! I was doing EW Treasure Maps and got 2 errors at the same time. This is getting ridiculous now. I was on DX9 because I keep erroring when I am using DX11 during SHB Dungeons and now EW dungeons.. This is getting irritating.

We noticed that your laptop seems to be using a hybrid of onboard graphics (Intel HD Graphics) and NVIDIA GeForce 820M mobile graphics which may be conflicting with each other. Please try the following:

1) Go into your motherboard's BIOS option and disable the onboard VGA (Intel HD graphics) so only the nVidia graphics display output is working. You can also go into device manager via Windows to disable the Intel HD graphics under Display Adapters.

2) Download and install the latest nVidia graphics driver software (Geforce Experience) to see if that may help as the drivers listed in the DXDIAG are from 2018 and may be out of date.

Okay, so after sleeping on this. I decided not to do what was suggested with the BIOS because I feel like disabling my Intel Graphics will mess my computer up, and I can't have that. I did try to do a SHB Dungeon last night (And yes, this only happens when I do SHB Dungeons, and I got an error during a Treasure map dungeon in EW) and my game just force closed. SO I think what I may end up doing is basically a fresh/clean install to see if maybe that fixes the issue. Cause I don't crash in any other dungeons or get errors in any other dungeons BUT SHB dungeons. There is something in these dungeons that's making me crash cause I can go to the zones no issue. The only zone that I seem to have issues with is Ruby Sea and it's only in 1 area of it. Tamamizu. For some reason it gives me an error when I go there. I think it has something to do with either the lighting or the shadows, or just something. Could you guys maybe look into these areas? Also in the SHB dungeons. I only crash when I get to the bosses. Sometimes it's an error, though last night when I tried it was a force close (CTD) No error.

And while I do think maybe it is on my side. I am not the only one getting these errors or these force closes. Could you guys maybe look into this just in case it is on your side? Cause I could go through all of EW No issue in March. NO errors during Cutscenes, no force closes, no dungeon crashs. Now all of a sudden I can't. Just seems odd.

I had the exact same issue you did with the new msq stuff how it would crash me on the cutscenes and only cutscenes and my PC is fairly new. Never had issues with any other stuff ever, only just since the new patch went live. Still havent figured out whats causing it and i did everything i could think of. Even if i rewatch the cutscenes from the new msq through the Unending Journey i get booted aswell but only if its new msq ... old msq and quests its fine

Well. Now it's even worse. I was trying to do my 50,60,70.80 roulette. And get Matoya's Relict (Whatever the hell it's called) And I can't log in on my main anymore. I keep getting "An Error has occurred. exiting Final Fantasy XIV 2022-04-19_11:37" I've tried multiple things. and No I will not shut off my intel graphics because it will mess my computer up, and I can't afford a new one. So I legit cannot log in on my main anymore. I am able to get on my alts just fine. But my main is completely locked out. and Idk what to do.
