Save the Last Dance for Me text error?

I'm not sure if this is an error or not. Earlier in the quest, Ranaa Mhigo comments "Though Ala Gannha itself has been liberated, the war with Garlemald rages on..."

However, after the solo instance, the cutscene has Raganfrid say "From liberator of Ala Mhigo to traveling performer, eh?"

The problem with that statement is...I haven't liberated Ala Mhigo. I'm currently on the quest "Stormblood" ready to storm in and liberate it. Not sure if he's supposed to say "From liberator of Ala Ghanna to traveling performer, eh?" instead but...yeah, no, I'm not yet the hero you proclaim me to be and I really just wanted my 70 ability before going in.

Imagine that you know someone who has been training for the last three years to be an astronaut. However, their first actual mission into space won't be until next week. You see them this weekend doing an open mic set in a poetry venue. Would it be inappropriate to say something like, "From astronaut to poet, eh?"

Replace astronaut / liberator of Ala Mhigo with any title they may have a reputation for working toward but have not actually achieved yet.



But really, the line is meant to assume you have already liberated Ala Mhigo because the quest belongs to ShB, not to SB. Job quests happen in the timeframe of the expansion that introduced them, so time bubbles will be in effect. Because of this, you'll find little anachronisms like this in different quests at different times for different reasons, but they're not mistakes. It's just simpler to assume time bubbles than to make all the quests take into account every possible combination of MSQ progress x job quest progress.

I realize this, and I wouldn't have posted this if not for it seemingly recognizing earlier that I hadn't. And while yes, it could be referring to the war raging on through ShB, it was a consideration. I'd have to look on one of my chars that has completed the MSQ to compare I suppose.
