give up
x bro

Rank up/down is normal if you can't handle up/down. Just do casual mode or single player game.
Best advice I can give is.
1:Learn from why you team lose did you/teammate underperform: K/D rate and dps , dmg and restore hp can tell you a lot info about you teammate and enemy team.
2:what you can do better.
3:Learn priority target job and sync attack single target or CC support.
4:Remember strong teammate and enemy team players.
5:Check LB/MP/HP gauge all the time on you team and own and pay extra attention on enemy gauge. Don't tunnel vision
Make no mistake. I'm not you alliances. I'm here cause I just do what I felt is right thing to do.
It took me over 800 games to get to Crystal. Of which the ratio was for every 1 win, I lose 3. Which basically negates the star streak reward.
I brute forced and it's not healthy. I definitely recommend you take a day off and relax. The season is still here for a good few months.
I've basically taken 2 days to relax before aiming for top 10.

So don't?
This must be your first ranked PvP experience ever.
This is the first ranking system I've ever seen that gives you bonuses for win streaks and literally won't let you de-rank out of a tier once you're in it.
This is the ultimate kid's glove version of ranked play, and it's still too much for you, so stop torturing yourself.
What are you even playing ranked for in the first place? Are you really that obsessed with PvP portrait frames? That's the only unique reward locked behind rank.

I wouldn't stress yourself out tbh. The fact that you can't de-rank is baby mode already. This is a good thing for "casual rank" play trust me. So I agree when Iyrnwaen here.
Just thank your lucky stars this isn't like League where you
actually do get kicked out of your tier. You only need 3 wins here to up a number but League can take dozens if not hundreds just to do that. It's hell on earth.
No. Stop making this argument. That should be the bare minimum. Losing rank does for losing in a game where I do not have total control over who I group with or against, over whether or not I win, does not make the Ranking a more an indicator of skill.
It does not make Ranking more rewarding.
It does not make Ranking more enjoyable.
It is a spat in the face, a waste of my time. It invalidates my progress completely. Not gaining a star is already enough punishment for failure.
You sound like the people who thought losing EXP in an oldschool MMO was good game design and and the definition of "hard" when it was just time wasting. If I don't win, I don't rank up. I need to play well to win, in order to progress. That alone is enough. Losing progres for failure (especially when I can do extremely well but the rest of my team is just garbage or intentionally throwing) is just terrible design. Why should I bother putting time aside each day to Rank when I could spend all day only to end with up lower on the Rank than when I started? How the hell do you defend this?
It's trash. It's terrible. It's a waste of time. That's all it is. It is not "babying" to not have Rank decay. It's the bare bloody minimum to not make the game rage-inducing. Punishing players on that level doesn't make the game harder or more rewarding it just makes it frustrating and time-wasting. And we all know the only real reason this entire system exists is to make it take artificially longer to progress so as to pad out players sub time. Pretending otherwise is just being dishonest.
I would be fine if they removed win streaks, I would be fine if they removed pvp exp/marks/any rewards for losing. But taking away my progress for failure? No. Screw that. There is no defense for that. Just stop.

Huh? Sorting players based on their ability to win is literally the only thing that can reliably indicate skill. If you're better than the people you're playing with, you'll win more than you lose and climb over time. If the opposite is true, you'll fall over time.
I enjoy ranking up because it's a tangible reflection of my progress and ability. If I were guaranteed to rank up by playing enough games, it would be meaningless and the rewards would be largely uninteresting to me. It seems like there are plenty of people in this thread who feel similarly.
No, the ranking system exists to (attempt to) put players in relatively evenly matched games.
It's largely failing at doing that, since the system has a drastic upward tendency due to streak bonus and derank protection—in other words, it's too easy to rank up—but I don't think it makes sense to assume bad faith when every single relevant PvP reward can be earned without winning a single game. It's just the portrait frames—the absolute minimum reward they could put in the game to avoid competitively-minded players feeling completely ignored.
If you disagree with even that much, then start a conversation about the reward structure, but don't ask for the ranking system to be destroyed for the sake of it. There are more moving parts here than a token cosmetic reward.
Losing Rank does not make it harder to rank it only makes it more time consuming. It pads out sub time artificially as players who would've gotten there far sooner take significantly longer and are encouraged to spend unhealthy levels of time each day to Rank up in a reasonable timeframe. Why is it so difficult to comprehend that punishing =/= difficulty? You are punished by not progressing because you lost. That is all the punishment you need and incentive to to win. It just makes it take LONGER, not HARDER. Stop defending this horrendous system.
Like I said, take away win streak bonus. Take away loss rewards. But losing progress because I lost (especially if the only reason I lost is because my team threw the match) is just infuriating. It just means I spend an obscene amount of time each day to compensate for loss streaks, and even then, I can still come out at the end of the day exactly where I left off (even if I progressed that day) or LOWER. Why even bother at that point? If you play the meta or just got lucky, good for you. That doesn't mean the system isn't godawful and in need of changing.
