We know it's coming that they're going to be reworking SCH, they stated they "don't know what more to do with SCH." When that rework comes, I foresee they'll likely be dropping AF and ED, as they've stated they hate ED, and that they don't like how SCH and SMN are connected.
I think I speak for the entire healer playerbase when I say

"Please, take away the healing 'complexity' and replace it with DPS complexity if that's what needs to happen. Take away the 8-12 abilities that generally all do the same thing that we press 20% of the time and give us 8-12 abilities that do slightly different things instead of pressing one ability 70% of the time and another 10% of the time."

It would certainly be nice to have some level of complexity on both sides, but I don't really feel like there is _much_ complexity already in the healing aspect of healers. I feel like it's mainly bloat. Healing is generally: Prioritize OGCDs, if you can't use an OGCD prioritize the more powerful GCD that fits the situation. So I'm not sure what we would necessarily lose there. Though, I'm sure SE could find a way to lose more 'complexity'.
