absolutelly i would even state that showing the triangle and dots would be enough. The problemwith alliance also happens with Alliance Raids I hate it so much. That's not a bad idea to have that sort of minimalistic CC map on the Frontline battlefields. You can probably display enemies more accurately there as well since the enemies on map and minimap takes, like, a solid 5 seconds to show up even if you're straight up attacking them head on. The Icons would need to be entirely reworked though, I can't see the CC's class Icons in a 24-man party, especially not if you're also gonna show enemies.
But then again I think Frontlines need an adjustment to party control in the sense that I can't just have abilities fail because my target is from another Alliance. You know how bad it is for a Black Mage to try and Aetherial Manipulation to an ally to escape only to get frozen in place by his own ability because the target isn't a party member and therefore doesn't count for Aetherial? Or how a scholar can get a Recitation shield on someone off-party but cannot DEPLOY it because it isn't a party member so he ends up deploying himself and wiffing a charge? Or how about as a Sage I need to let allies die unlessn they are in a party, because I can't Kardia them otherwise. Or how about a Bard surrounded by 10 guys but finding out that using his LB is a bad Idea because only 1 of those is actually on his party so your Final Fantasia needs to be used for speed boost... So many issues...
Or you can do this: make the map small and place it over where your compass usually is. Make it “big” enough so that you can see the objectives, and fit the entire area into the map.
I also shrink the map and leave it up in pvp, but I also leave the minimap up even though it's not particularly useful foir pvp. Maybe I should get rid of it, hmmm.....
I find it hard to play pvp properly - especially frontline - without the full area map.

there needs to be an map for frontline, it sucks having to open my map to see the objectives on certian maps despite i have my minimap zoomed out to the max
On the PlayStation, I find it difficult to both review new objectives through the map and select targets simultaneously. I don't mind doing callouts for objectives in FL, but with the constant back and forward, those callouts sometimes come in too late for any real action.
I think if we had this as a togglable option to have on/off during an entire match, that would make referencing the map a bunch easier. I would support something like that.
