Community question: Whats your favorite mount?

Hello again eorzeans,

just curious and to try switch the mood of the forums a little:

What is your favorite mount? If you can't decide one, name your Top 3 or 5 if you want to.

Mine are:

#1 Cumulus mount, both colors
#2 Flying carpet
#3 Carbuncle mount, literally all colors
#4 Bismarck bird
#5 Flying chair

I’m quite picky when it comes to mounts.. but my favourite is the Al-iklil, it’s the only one I ever use took me a long time to get

As many different mounts as I have, I find myself gravitating back to the cavalry drake from ARR mostly because it has an amusing mount action.

I'm hoping it some day gets a fancier version purchasable with gil akin to the golden mikoshi/serpent of Ronka mounts.

Might sound embarrassing but the unicorn,

Frankly I’ve have had a harder time to find a decent horse mount (less magically cosmetic).

It’s nice to see most mounts look epic & grandiose, yet I am also tired of seeing that often & wish they added simpler looking mounts with less aether-appearance & bit more realistic,

In my case still in the search for that significant horse to match my knighthood glamour

I have a few that I really like but I always end up falling back to the Heavensward Bird mounts, especially the Red and the Dark versions. I still hope we'll someday get an actual Owl mount (heck, it could use the same basic skeleton as the Bird mounts, I wouldn't mind) but until then it'll probably be the Birds for me.

The only caveat to that is that I don't tend to use the Birds when I'm stuck on the ground so in those cases I'll often use one of the original ARR Horses, and pick whichever best suits my current glam.

i tend to switch depending on my job and glam but if i have to chose just one, i would probably take the pod because the swinging animation make flying feel more in motion.
