The Spriggan Problem

So I'm from Spriggan, and I've recently noticed that the various Housing Wards (including that of my FC's home) always seemed to be dead, and many properties remained unfurnished, despite often being filled with registered Free Companies.

Partly out of curiosity, and partly as a result of recent controversy regarding the Housing System, I've been looking into the nature of the Housing Districts on the Spriggan server.

Whilst I am yet to finish gathering and analysing the data, from the data I've been able to gather and analyse so far, it is showing that the Spriggan server appears to have a very serious issue with the heavy usage of so-called 'shell FC's' to own property.

Many of these properties are often solely owned by either a single low-level character, or in the case of some Shirogane plots, occasionally a Level 70 character alongside other low level characters. In at least one instance, this includes plots in Empyreum.

Current data is suggesting that these instances number in the several hundred, and may be a noticeable, if not significant contributor towards the current Housing crisis on Spriggan.

Would it please be possible for this issue to be discussed, and if possible, a resolution found?

Nothing new, and many other posts related to the shell FC issues are already rampant on the forums. SQE won't make any comments on the forums, so all you will get here is some discontent from other players, toxic discussions, excuses and anything else not related. I'm sure WoW will also come up somehow by the mass that can't focus on any topic.

Based on you registered Date you should probably know that Spriggan was literally a dead Server before Big B broke the camels back to often last year and the Server was more then a welcome for a bunch of other MMO Players. Till then no one gave a f*** about Spriggan or Twintania (if you need the same example on the Light DC). It may be an issue right now that even the small Servers exploded but what do you want to do? As far as I know theres nothing what happened against the TOS. Only thing you could do is to ask Square to provide enough supply and / or harshen the FC Lead transfer topic.

But be aware it will inflict more issues with normal FCs who needs an FC Transfer or have players who are in one or more FC at the same time. Look at the RP Players. There are a lot of people in different FCs among them. That will inflict the standard user even more then your so called Shell FCs. So hard it may sound.

But your crusade in the past days reminds me of this Almoron or Albongus Guy who was probably the main reason we got Lottery. So I would suggest you choose your wishes carefully cause Square tends to be the Monkey's Paw and wont fulfill you heart desires until people noticed they are fucked with the new rules or whatever is going to happen in the future.

Far as I know they were the original person who suggested the placard timer. I can't recall they were on the lotto bandwagon.

If the demand was legitimate, and it was a Balmung/Mateus situation, I wouldn't be posting this. The problem isn't that there aren't homes, the problem is that the situation on Spriggan is explicitly one of hundreds of plots being owned by dead FC's/accounts set up for the sole purpose of hoarding property. Grandfathering those plots in compounds those failures into the new system, and given that Empyreum is now seeing this behaviour, I feel a crackdown on it is long overdue.

So how do you know this? Have you spoken to every one of them and know that's what's going on? Every single one of them is doing exactly what you think they're doing?

I was about to ask that...I remember people saying a lot of worlds used to be empty which is why so many houses got bought out by one person. And of course, now the game is more popular and more people want housing.
I remember 2 years ago shirogane housing on goblin was easy to get cause no one was there...I went to work thinking the 3 mediums i saw would be gone but i came back and they were still there.
I think my issue with multihouse owners isn't that they are multihouse owners but that people are blaming them for the housing shortage when in the past there wasn't a shortage...there was a glut. I mean if I could affored it i would buy 2 houses if i saw a free house and no one was going after it

I think what people are forgetting, in their rush to find an easy scapegoat, is that this housing shortage is entirely SE's creation. And really only SE can fix it.

There used to be a guy that would post on here saying he bought up houses just so others wouldn't get them. He'd leave them empty to be a jerk. So many defended his right to do so. I wonder if he still does it and if people still feel it is ok.
