Frontline can be fun. But some issues get in the way. For instance, since most players are there only for the roulette exp, they couldn't care less about trying to win. Most don't even know how points are calculated, they just zerg around trying to find someone to kill. Even very simple things like saying "Twin Adder is winning, focus on them" fall on deaf ears. Yesterday I had a match in which we were 200/800, Maelstrom was 150/800, and Twin Adder was 650/800. Yet the entire team was zerging Maelstrom over and over again. They'd respawn and run right back despite me and one other guy calling attention to the fact that we needed to focus on Adder. I was actually told "forget the objective, just vibe". So... Yeah. Nobody cares. And this is not a complaint I have because I believe these people are to blame when I lose. People like that get in the way of my opponents, too. It's just pure RNG. But that takes something away from the experience.

The second issue is that it's just utterly, completely unbalanced and I have no idea how they are going to fix it. Scholar can deal a few million damage in a match with their DOTs. But worse than that are summoner and white mage. Especially summoner. Their LB deals a chunk of burst damage over a very large area. So people join Frontlines in summoner or summoner/white mage premades and cast the their LBs simultaneously. Three summoner LBs are guaranteed to wipe everyone out in the large area it affects. I have seen entire teams wiped that way multiple times. Dude, I even have a screenshot on my PC where you could see 5+ Bahamuts in the same place. That usually guarantees a win. I have no idea how and if they are going to address that, since it is obvious that they (tried to) balance the pvp rework around CC, and how the jobs would play on Frontline was not taken into consideration.
