PvP needs some sound design love

We need better audio cues. I'm tired of having to look at my bars to double check that a skill went off. Nothing like completely messing up my damage combo because wild fire actually didn't go off. Each skill that you use that successfully goes off should play a sound that stands out so you know if and when your key press has been taken into account. For instance, maybe you pressed the key just before the end of the gcd, so the lack of audio feedback would let you know it didn't go off and you can press it again.

(or even better, you could be able to queue up an ability if pressed within a short delay before the end of the gcd, which would then go off as soon as the gcd ends, like that other game does)

We also need better audio balance, there are lots of useless sounds that are louder or as loud as important ones.

And for the love of god, we need an audio cue when the wind storm thing is about to go off. One of the only cue is the storm weather thing but it begins like a hundred years before.

The other cue is the countdown at the top of the combat frame but that's always be going to be out of the way because no one wants to put the combat log smack in the middle of the screen. Maybe separate it in a different frame? I'd love to put it in big, smack in the middle of the screen, frankly.

I'm sure there are people who are able to anticipate it just fine as is and who will jump into the thread saying its fine, but it's not. All people are different and a sufficient cue for one person may be lacking for others. Judging by the huge number of people getting caught off guard by this I would think the existing cues are unsufficient for most people.

While this isn't about jobs, I think all Frontline maps need like... very poignant and stark sound effects. You can, and should, have your map open at all times. But IMO it would be just better UX if, when objectives spawn, it has a loud callout, waymarks, etc. Just like if you look at other multiplayer games, objectives becoming available or flags being grabbed or whatever has distinct sounds.

Tbh they should add announcers to pvp, with customizable voice choices.
Urianger, Y'shtola, thancred, aymeric etc. would be a fun customization choice to add to pvp vendors too!
Have them call out LB's from enemy teams in CC, points claimed by X team, etc.

Oh wow, I really like that idea, yeah! Sounds like a wonderful thing to add to PvP vendors. Think it's a good idea to help sprouts digest all the information. When they have lost their lead, when a map mechanic is happening, etc. Maybe you can start out with whatever is appropriate for the GC you are currently fighting for or a region-appopriate NPC for the CC maps, and you unlock more through playing PvP like you said.
