When will the housing bug be fixed?

Anyone knows? Haven't seen a post in ages. Or are we waiting for what would otherwise be a second lottery round (currently at Entry stage) for the data to be applied from previous lottery when the Confirmation stage comes? Or is it some ambiguous "sorry for any inconvenience" with no end to this in sight?

Well im just speculating, but on the 18/19 (depending on timezone) they said in regards to fixing the bug "We expect this process to take approximately three to five business days"
but could be longer.
They also have extended the results timer to the 30th,(this info is now updated on the placards)
so you would imagine between now and the 30th, but in saying that they should give everyone a few days before the 30th to make sure they get to log in and claim there plot etc,
so i would think it wont be to much longer.
But this is just me guessing.

Ages? Do you not read the Lodestone? They have made at least three to four posts just about housing, details and such. 'Ages' would imply that it would have been an extremely long time as in months if they had said something. They started making posts on the Lodestone about it the day the lottery was over, and we would have had the results.

2nd round Lottery restart was pushed back and the actual fix for this one should be coming soon I would hope.

Relative to fixing the availability issue that's not something in the cards for now. Lets hope this has clearly shown them the numbers who bid and didn't get housing so they need to really get it together and do something. Given the influx of new players ward housing isn't going to solve the problem they need to consider an instanced alternative be it much nicer apartments or instanced housing itself.

I'm actually hoping that the number of bids for larger plots, compared to the lesser demand for smaller plots provides hard data for the developers to hopefully plan a better solution to the housing situation.

That's not what they are addressing. The lottery bug fix is SE addressing the 0 winner bug (among other things).

However, the lottery system itself will ultimately "check the box" it was always designed to:
- Remove the hours-long placard clicking against RMT and other players that used bots
- Get houses in the hands of FCs

That's what it fixed. And it looks like it did.

The lottery was never designed to address the housing supply. If people were hoping lottery, Empyreum or this upcoming bug fix were going to address the supply problem, you were bound to be disappointed. 1,440 new plots makes a difference to many players, but barely makes a dent in the demand.
