An unexpected error has occured. Exiting final fantasy XIV (6d)

So up until patch 6.58, or my nvidia driver updated, I was using the nvidia geforce launcher to run the game due to this error. After one of the two mentioned updates above it is no longer supported by the GeForce launcher and is back to giving me this error using the FFXIV launcher. I have nothing called mactype as other threads have stated. Tried compatibility mode, running as admin, disabling full screen optimizations, rebooting, resetting the game settings through the launcher and checking for windows updates. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the game and nothing has changed I still get the error and need help. Here is the system information from the launcher.

Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Please try the following:
- Update and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card and sound drivers (if applicable). It appears that your GPU [NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070] driver was last updated on [3/11/2024], at this time there should be a newer version available. Please try updating the driver to see if it may help with the issue.
- Please try lowering the resolution.
- Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything.
- Please be sure that Final Fantasy XIV is installed to the C: Drive. (If Steam version, make sure both the game and Steam are installed on same drive)
- Please be sure to disable or remove any overlays (Anti-virus software, OneDrive, Discord, Steam, NVIDIA etc.) as they may interfere with startup.
- Make sure that the Windows OS is fully updated.
- Verify installation files (Steam)
- Reinstall game (If steam version, try uninstalling and reinstalling both the game and Steam)

I have also been looking for a solution for this for months, and I FINALLY came across the cause of it (which is the weirdest bug in my opinion). If your Windows PC username has any special characters in it, for some reason the launcher won't allow the game to launch. My username on Windows had a "♥" in it, and once i changed the username to letters only, it worked just fine. If this applies to you, steps to fix are:
1. Win key + R
2. Type netplwiz and hit "Ok"
3. Under "Users for this computer", click on the account you're logged into, click "properties" and change the "username" field to something without special characters.
4. MOST IMPORTANT STEP, RESTART YOUR PC.
5. try launch the game now hope this helps you or someone else out there who was struggling like me
