Bloodwhetting, Nascent flash, Equilibrium, and Shake it off.
Dissipation can go and never come back.
Physick.. yes, even as SCH, i barely find it useful. Just buff Embrace to 250p or even 320p to compensate
‐------------
Aside from Physick, here are other actions i don't mind removing from SCH:
- Summon Seraph - prime candidate for removal. Rouse is better, in every aspect. Just make her galmour to compensate.
- Aetherpact - feels forced just to have gauge when AF is enough. just turn it into a command to force the pet to Embrace the target.
- Fey Blessing - effect can be changed to be render an ally immune to knockback and draw in effects for 10s then give Whispering Dawn a 2nd charge.
- Sacred Soil - just remove the regen and replace it with -5% received magic damage.
- Fey Illumination - remove the -5% received magic damage and make replace it with a +10% Galvanize potency.
Not really a healing action but i will add Chain Stratagem to the list.

Cure I
Benefic I
Physick
☆SCH/AST/DNC/VPR/SMN☆
I've had a list for a little while: Protraction, Seraph, Fey Union, Fey Blessing, Dissipation. They're clunky, unimpactful, don't mesh with Scholar's kit, and could absolutely be replaced by Shadowflare, Miasma, Bane, Rouse and Quickened Aetherflow.
Fey gauge is just so unbelievably useless, you'll only use it for trash pulls (and that's being generous since tanks who can cycle mits will only need your Soil and Whispering Dawn) or when someone messes up a mechanic and you have a bit of time to top them up (even though the fairy can do just that, by herself). Most of the time it just sits at 100 for an entire run; Rouse has way more versatility in how you can use it especially since it doesn't lock your fairy so it will also reduce a lot of input delay.
I'll give healer a try up until level 100. If I do not like it, I'm off the role, entirely. Was this what Yoshi P wanted for people like me? Did he assume we were too foolish to take any semblance of complexity? How could such an allegedly open developer act so dismissive towards his own players? The flavor of the jobs I loved so much throughout the franchise were mere husks of themselves. What was once a magical world peeled away to reveal a sterile room of four walls. No imagination, no challenge, only accessibility for the sake of it. I didn't feel welcomed, I felt betrayed.
I did not remember having replied to this thread at all until I read the earlier pagesAlas mine don't seem to change much but here to add today's list:
WHMTetragrammaton - Please, just delete this button. Move the lost potency elsewhere, preferably to make a new lily spell & actually give an update to the Lily Gauge instead of making their upgraded spells VFX looks like a lily. I'm sick of letting the game play the job gauge for me.SCHLooking back in time, I don't think my list changes much, except the already deleted Selene & Aetherflow. Now that I think about it, if they aren't making anything interesting that involves decision making on our Fey Gauge, then Aetherflow and its relation to Energy Drain & Dissipation must stay.AST
Fey Gauge can die though, and I wouldn't miss it.
Still the same except Trashtodyne (since we're going to lose that in DT) and Exaltation (I prefer to keep Exaltation and discard Intersection instead). But also, let's discard Minor Arcana, Celestial Opposition, & Neutral Sect as well.SGE
Let's addtwofive more to the list: entire Addersgall heals and Physis II. I'd like SGE to not copy paste SCH's Aetherflow and build their own healing method from Kardia mechanic.
Celestial opposition, benison and intersection, all aquaveil variants, zoe, whispering dawn, plenary, soteria
[Whm]
Remove:
-Asylum
-Plenary Indulgence (just add the potency to the skills)
Upgrade:
Cure > Cure II
Medica > Medica II
Divine Benison > Aquaveil (let it just add mit eff)
Consolidate:
Cure II = Cure III under Temperance, PoM (Same mana cost, same potency as Cure II, now that it has a cost of being in those two forms)
Why the changes: it teaches people how to heal instead of spam cure in a lvl 90 dungeon or cure III in a dungeon where they think it is the more powerful version of Cure II. Minuit changes. Asylum is more debatable as whether to go, but I think it would be justified if we brought the whole class aspects down such as the lilies. Same logic applied to Sch, and Ast.
[Sch]
Remove:
Emergency Tactics - just apportion some heals, if the shield is reapplied.
Indom - with increasing Fey Blessing
Upgrade:
Physick> Galvanize -let Galvanize have the initial heal of Physick then if shield % needs adjusting do so.
Lustrate > Excog -let it receive lustrate's initial heal, then put on the prock if the target falls below a certain hp or if the time is up heals them as normal.
Consolidate:
Recitation = Protraction -you are basically only ever going to use it when you put giant shields out anyhow.
Why not Dissipation: I feel Dissipation could be reworked and not removed to give SCH a risk mode in exchange for healing, the phase could just be made for new dps abilities. Which is why the healing bloat needs to come down, if they don't want to bother then why the need to change button size?
(To be continued)

I agree with Rein on Sage: All the Addersgall heals are toxic to Sage's identity and need to be destroyed, along with Physis II which also does nothing for Sage's healing style. I would also toss in Haima and Panhaima--not to remove their effects, but I'd have them replace Eukrasian Diagnosis and Eukrasian Prognosis. Make your general barrier application one that applies layers of barriers with only a 15 second duration, and what you could do is make Addersting generation occur only if all 5 stacks of the barrier are broken. That would allow you to make Addersting a more aggressive resource generated from aptly timed barriers because you'd want to use those when you know you or the tank will be taking hits in quick succession, as you won't always be able to use it for any given circumstance and still get the Addersting.
Sage has failed to live up to the fantasy of a sci-fi DPS healer. Please change this for 8.0. Make Sage fast, exciting, and aggressive. It should feel like a healer that plays like a DPS. Empower the aspects of Sage's unique healing mechanics: Kardia and Eukrasia to give its healing playstyle more identity.
None of the healers need their level 71+ healing actions and keeping them in the game creates a tuning problem wherein any fight that does enough damage to engross healers who are aware of their buttons will be unclearable by everyone else.Hey, look what I found! An old thread that is still relevant to this day!
Since DT is almost upon us, I think we should bring this topic into discussion again. Are there any particular Healing actions that you think each Healer Job doesn't need? Or are there any Healer actions that need to be toned down to some extent?
After deleting the 71+ actions, the next thing they could do to trim the fat and boost healing engagement would be to put the remaining heal kits almost entirely on the GCD, so that healers get to play the optimization mini-game more once a fight is on farm. This also makes yet more heal buttons redundant and ripe for deletion. You don't need Medica 2 if Asylum is a GCD, since GCD Asylum would be more fun to use, especially if reverted to its smaller size and allowed to have multiple bubbles on the field. A GCD Earthly Star (with its cooldown removed) would be leagues more interesting because it becomes a pseudo-DoT that rewards active management and offers the emergency option to trade away some damage to place a heal where you need it by popping it early or holding it late. And mediocre healers aren't detrimentally affected because they already prefer to cast too many GCD heals. Nothing changes for them except their kit becomes mechanically more fun.
