I'm fine with the first raid being easier. Maybe it can be an introduction raid, and the other two can be more difficult.

Alliance raids are intentionally easy. They're meant for the general consumer who wants to experience the story they give and do some raiding, but not something with the difficulty as Savage or Ultimate. When it comes down to brass tacks, Alliance Raids are essentially large scale dungeons with a difficulty level to challenge the average player, with gear catch up mechanisms for non-Savage/Ultimate raiders and a vehicle for continuing the story. That's what they've always been and are always going to be.
It doesn't have ilvl sync, does it?
The problem I find in Normal mode raids is that they only put the difficulty into figuring out the mechanics. It's very easy to die to mechanics on your first time. Some even try and bait you into dying. Some are just aoe bombardment. There are plenty of Normal mechanics I find harder to dodge than in Savage, which follow nice set patterns. But they never put any sort of challenge into the dps checks or heal checks and unlimited Raises means it doesn't even matter if you figure out the mechanics or not.
The result is week one you go in blind and wonder if you have brain damage because you die so much. Then you figure out the trick to the mechanics ...and you're done. You don't need to push your rotation, know your heal toolkit or really contribute much or bother trying to play well at all. Literally the only requirement is that all 6 healers, RDM and SMN's cannot be simultaneously dead unless the boss is low enough for the tanks to solo. That's it. While that condition is maintained, you'll win.
No one said Savage, they just want it to be interesting past week 1. It's a valid criticism considering the developers probably poured a ton of resources into something many players will only run 2-3 times for the coin, then ignore. Alliance raids very quickly become your 30 minute weekly chore.
Easy fix : add a current tier min ilvl sync alliance raid roulette with +50% more reward (gils and tomestone.)
My brother (or sister) in Hydaelyn, play Ninja Gaiden if you want to be stressed out.
No one is asking for that though?
We are simply questioning the fact that Week 2 of the raid and we're already clearing the fights faster than the LB gauge can fill to LB3. None of the prior Alliance Raids have ever had that problem.
Umm I did it last night and found the most challenging part was seeing what the heck was going on through all the SMN pets! I spent most of the raid raising the healers in the other party because their SMN wasn't doing it...
So I don't think it is undertuned at all. Maybe if you do it Tuesday but not really for the rest of us non-Savage players.
Thanks!
On Light DC queues can easily take up to one hour on prime time. Lack of dps is heavy in these queues. Its not just me then who found this horredously undertuned. Didn't even see a second tankbuster from byregot last night
also is it me or is it a pain to queue for in aether? thats 2 weeks now and usually duty roulette will dump me straight in the new raid, and the new raid will always be instant que. yet this fortnight at peak times i've been struggling to queue for it, last night took almost an hour before i got in
Edit: i concur with Ravor, I would absolutely love to see a hard extreme or mid level savage difficulty raid vs the 12 because it didn't feel that it was tough enough with how slow stuff was cast. but thats ew in general, nothing hits hard, or its instant kill
I know they want things like this to be accessible, but it just feels like they are catering to ppl who just want to show up and get a reward. I am already watching hulu and barely paying attn to anything going on and its only week 2.
