My Moral Integrity is Gone, but I'm out of Platinum

For 3 days I've been bashing my head against the wall that is Plat climbing whilst playing GNB. I almost got out once. Got to my promotion match then went on a huge loss streak that put me right back at 0 stars in Plat 4. I said to myself that I wouldn't switch away from GNB, since I do love the job (just not in PvP right now). But the constant losses were weighing so heavily on my mental I decided it was time to switch to WAR.

An hour later, I am now Diamond after crushing my way through every match except for 1. I only lost 1 game since I switched to WAR. Good lord, SE. You gotta fix this mess. Still, at least I'm out of Plat.

yea after 6 years of blm... might bandwagon as well. grats guy! O btw my jp mate played sam for a 15 win streak and got to crystal, not sure where he started but yea... less than 100 games......

Hehehe it doesn't surprise me at all. The best way to chase victories is to pick one of the overpowered jobs in order to 1) ensure there is one in your team and 2) ensure that the one controlling it knows how to play.

Honestly, sticking to your guns just isn't worth it right now. It's an exercise in frustration and futility at best. And besides, even if I am on a faceroll job, I'm still not the worst player in the world, so that's got to count for something as well. That's what I'm going to tell myself so I can sleep tonight, anyway.

Its how I got to gold lol. I kept getting all the way to silver 1 with brd (sometimes switching to drg) and would go on a wild losing streak. Switched to war and just went on multiple win streaks. Create a attacking target macro that also marks them and dive away with primal rend, survive until the next primal rend and dive away again. Don't even need to worry about damage or killing anything as long as I continue to be a disruptive nuisance that's hard to kill. Only time I really lose a match is when my team just lacks bursty jobs like one time I got two healers, a smn and a brd on my team lol.

Don't ask my why I was trying to climb with brd....For some reason I just find it fun in pvp lol.

I'm playing SGE but refuse to swap over as I think I'm actually quite good with it and it's not nearly in as bad a place as GNB is. While I can't provide any Cc or utility I can at least delete people if they don't blink in my direction and make me fade to dust. Really hard sometimes though when I'm the only one healing/curing a team against a party of a WAR and an AST and WHM though lmao.

Congrats on making it to Crystal though, I'm hoping to claw my way up there soon.

If i don't stick to my guns and play blm as well as i can SE will not have data to see where it needs changes, 99% of players are non issue, its that 1% who are good that blm cant do shit against.

Hey I have seen your post and wanted to post here too, because I did the exact same. I have been struggling to get to gold from silver with my Gunbreaker all the time. It was pretty frustrating.

Then I finally switched to WAR. I never even played WAR before and had to do the whole Marauder questline first, before I could do anything.

Immediatly after i unlocked WAR i jumped into Crystalline Conflict without much preparation and without knowing how to even play WAR.

And I got to gold pretty fast.

But I am the same as you. I wanted to do it with my Gunbreaker. I still also like the gameplay of GNB more than WAR in Pvp.

But I think this pretty much shows that Gunbreaker needs some big adjustments.
