Lottery extended to 4/29

I dont know where people are thinking that the bugs in housing were going to be fixed today? On 4/18 (2 days ago) they said it would take a minimum of 4-6 WORKING days to find and fix the cause, and THEN to test fixes. The maintenance notice this morning was quite clear that they were taking residential offline to ensure the lottery didn't go back into effect. 9 days is the number that makes sense here, since a standard lottery period is 9 days (5 for bidding, plus 4 for pick-up). If we are lucky, it gets fixed before the weekend. Resulting in a very long pick-up period (that devs may or may not shorten). If it doesn't get fixed until Monday or Tuesday (which is a very likely possibility), then housing will need to be claimed by 7:59 AM PT on Friday, which is just 3-4 days to claim the property.

And botting for housing is still going to be much harder. Personal housing sellers are dead in the water, unless the bots create and sell the service account. Those selling their FC have to have the FC for at least 30 days before they can even bid for a house, then they need to win a house. And if they happen to have a buyer lined up in advance, they can transfer the FC ownership in a shorter period, but they have to be in the FC for at least 30 days before they can become FC master or a rank that can even purchase a house. Most bots are going to be looking at a minimum of a 60 day turn-around. Or longer.

Does 4/29 also coincide with plots that were vacated by people who moved to other districts?

4/29 is when the next lottery phase goes into effect whether you moved, transferred, died, or fell asleep.

They already said that it'd take a day to even verify the issue and then three to five days to verify that it has even been resolved but that it could take longer.

Often times it's actually more difficult to build something on top of an already existing thing, it doesn't matter if it's FFXIV or WoW the devs run into a lot of problems because of how the game was built from the beginning ( in regards to FFXIV they also have to deal with it being built for consoles too, which only further limits it ).
The WoW devs have big issues even implementing housing altogether because of how the game was originally built, it's not that they don't want to add it.

The same goes for expanding on housing and adding more variables, I imagine it's probably a lot more difficult and complicated than people give credit for and they gotta work with what they have already and what time and resources they have available.
Like with the hair thing people love to point to modders but modding and officially implementing something especially server side are two completely different universes.
I think it's worth being a tad bit humble and understanding that we don't have a full view and understanding of what's actually going on, I mean people on this forum going crazy about this problem didn't even understand what the problem even was and went on giant tirades about something that wasn't even the issue.

i cant wait for a follow up post here after you realize you didnt win the plot and realize all plots will be sold and theres a chance you wont win any plot ever because its luck based completely. Then youll finally realize everyone elses frustration. I hope you win the plot but the reality is its a lottery sure you have "A" chance but i strongly believe you shouldnt have to worry about luck to get what u want in the game i believe you SHOULD be able to get a plot just as you wish without relying on "LUCK"

On my server there appear to be many plots that had bids but no winner due to the zero bug, but also many plots with no bids at all and no winning number. So it looks like there may be potential to get an FC house if you don't mind a medium or a small. Also some of the larges seem to be relocations.

I completely understand the extension on the housing to remediary fixes.

We were the only bidder on our plot, with a result of 0 - So long as THOSE people including ourselves get what we technically won, then by all means give it some time.


If people who technically won don't get what they did... thats going to be a total mess...

Nine more days till the next lottery round begins. I had heard that this maintenance would fix all the problems, but it was just an extension of time. I am currently making all kinds of furniture is preparation of the opening of my ward and I will throw the biggest dance party of all time. I will have a 500k raffle to celebrate the occasion. fake post. Lottery didnt get extended just how long they need got extended by another 10 days. Still same glitch and nothing can be done and most people wont get a plot . lets be real
