    Just thinking of how fast you can turn the opener around with your party grouped up if you Recitation + DoT + Spread and then Adlo Spread your party. -10% damage to the oppenent and +10% damage fro your party is a hell of an opener. I'd be mad that they only have broil spam if it wasn't just so good. I've left an engagement as SGE to use an elixir and due to the cast time of elixir the DoT killed me before I could heal up.

    It's definitely undervalued at the moment imo. I wish SGE barrier had a dps or something but I'm fine with SCH getting some new cool stuff after PVE has screwed them lately.

    Yeah, I can see it feeling like you need to think ahead of time, but honestly, I've seen it being pulled off quite easy and I believe they are one of the safest heal support jobs. People just need to be selfish with the shields more often than not.

    They are super strong, a good visual que is every time a whm jumps in, just move quick and mummify them and then land whatever empowered dot you can on them. They tend to more often than not always jump near a WAR. I hope that helps you get better!

    edit: If you're dueling someone, put the pixie near a pillar so you can run around it, it still gets you even if you think you're LOS. It's super good for dueling. I've fallen a victim to this a few times.

    I'd say it's the other way around. Cure III negates most of SCH's DoT and SCH has no way to actually save someone who its getting focused down without their limit break. Between Aquaveil double shield on CC and Protect, WHM is the best healer class at protecting a focused target while simultaneously being the best healer at picking off priority targets between their ranged nukes and polymorph.

    Frontlines is where SCH actually shines.

    SCH benefits from having another healer in team as they shine in extended grindy fights. I mostly swap to SCH in Crystal when there's tons of other healers queueing to ensure double healer comp. If there isn't I'll play another Job.

    SCH is decent, but I feel like more than any other job it's a bit helpless when focused. If someone dives on you you can put a meagre shield on yourself and lower their damage a bit, but no mobility at all. More than any other healer they're quite reliant on having a team that sticks together and/or can keep all the attention off of you. Something hard to communicate with the limited communication and the job's unpopularity.

    Why would I use SCH when I can use WHM and just spam cure 2 all game?
