    The aether gun is an interesting idea. Though you have a point about cards for gambler/corsair. Another thought was the Arcanist guild. Those staff like weapons they have, could be a firearm of some sorts. They are "unique" in design that the concept could fly without infringing on the gun concept that would be musketeer. Thoughts?

    Hmm I think I read the Arcanist is already planned to be a "trapping" job. They set traps on the field to do damage/enfeeble and some "traps" to buff/heal. I forget where it was said though. Yoshi also contemplated about Arcanist leading to a pet job in some interview I think.

    There are certainly a ton of different directions they could go. They could develop a whole new gun for your idea while giving gambler/corsair cards and turning musketeer into the ranger people thought archer would be. Course cards could be given to a divining job as well and take on the tarot form...

    Talon and Marta: I really like the idea for a gun-wielding summoner, but I'm afraid Arcanist will be the pet class, at least for now. There is a lalafell in their guild at Limsa that speaks about a pet that doesn't appear because "she is sleeping". I bet they are the class that will open the summoner job.

    Kouji: I didn't know about the judge job! Adding it now!

    Yeah, Summoners can have a whole new twist with guns! Like the Animation(Final Fantasy Unlimited), with a whole new style of AF!

    Its funny. I was honestly expecting more flames with this meat patty of a gun wielding summoner. Very open minded. Thank you. I really want to expose this idea some more to the community and see if it can grab some dev attention if enough people like it. How should I go about it you think?

    Well, it's a very cool and original idea, indeed! If you wanna push it forward to the devs, perhaps you could start a specific thread about it and develop the idea of the class/job, like gear, skills, role, some images etc. A poll might help too =D
