Stop Gating Behind Older, Less Popular Questlines and Raids

I've personally never much liked the Ivalice raids, but weren't they actually fairly well liked at the time?

Edit: I like the raids themselves, I just didn't like the story much.

Ivalice is to this day my most fav AR.
To me it was the only positive thing out of the SB expansion.

The problem with the long queu is, like others have pointed that everybody and their mother remove all the gear before queu-ing for AR roulette so they get lower Ilvl and lower tier raids.
An easy way to fix is would be to tie the availability to queu for item to your lvl & ilvl.
Like when you're lvl 60 you need to have the ilvl to do the lvl 60 AR roulette, once you get to lvl 70 you need the ilvl to do those AR, etc. And then when you queu it will randomly pick one of those you have access to.

There was a 30 minute wait time for healers for Dun Scaith when two friends in my fc finally unlocked it. People will ilvl cheese, go into crystal tower with broken gear, go in naked, or anything to get crystal tower. The amount of trolling I have seen in syrcus tower, where I live now, in the recent month has been insane compared to how it use to be. I am beginning to think people are just spam queueing for this even though they are already done with their relic grind. I sware to this forum when I finally get around to the Neir raid, I am queueing it a ton out of spite. I need to learn my rotation of classes besides hitting a dummy and I have gotten syrcus tower from level 50 to 70 on bard. I am sick of syrcus tower if they do not do something to fill the other alliance raids queues soon I will go mad! I am so sick of seeing syrcus tower! Sick of it! I want ivalice! I want something challenging!

Prior to 5.3, when I was leveling my raid-alt through ShB, I deliberately did not unlock the Crystal Tower raids on her because I was so tired of them; I just had Mhach and Ivalice (since she was not quite at 80 yet, so couldn't have the YoRHa raids). While it was great that I didn't ever have to see Labyrinth of Ancients in roulette for her, the downside is that said raid-alt was for tanking. And let me tell you, at least back in the 5.1/5.2 era, tank queues for Alliance Roulette if you don't have the Crystal Tower raids unlocked were not super fun. They were often at least an hour and a half long, and a number of times I topped 2 hours waiting in queue.

I finally gave up and unlocked Crystal Tower just before the 5.3 MSQ forced me to do it anyway. :|

alliance raid is the great equalizer.
Tanks also have to wait.
More so if you don't unlock everything

No, I really do not like this idea, like, at all. Please, keep story gating content. Maybe streamline some of it, but never fall into WoW's habit of just letting people skip the story because then the story won't ever truly matter.

I agree with you, but on OCE you can't even do the raid at all not even a first time. I waited once for 3 hours and it never qued. Hopefully the server will fill up so we can get past this road block

I think I actually did get into the Ivalice raids via DF on my Sophia alt after a fair bit of waiting, but in any case the main way of getting through them is the PF. There are very regular parties for all three raids, sometimes Mhach as well. I'm not up to NieR but I assume there will be parties gathering for that too.

I wish I would get them more, but as long as undressing for alliance roulette still exists 95% of the time you'll get LotA..
