Crystalline Conflict ranked needs tighter matchmaking

I understand not wanting significant wait times, but it feels like there is NO consistency right now. It seems right now the next 10 people in line get randomly sorted into teams regardless of anything else. I've been in matches where its 2 ranked players and 3 unranked, vs a team of 4 ranked players and 1 unranked. I've had matches with golds silvers and bronzes all together. I've been in matches where I'm the top player or two in terms of stats but because I can't hard carry I still lose and de-rank. Similarly I've had matches where I personally do terribly but because the other team is doing terribly as well I win anyways because my team is unbalanced.

Before next season as far as solo queue is concerned (if team queue is ever going to be a thing) we either need a completely reworked ranking system that is somehow based on a combination of wins AND personal contribution (which I imagine is easier said than done), or a robust skill based match making system (which could destroy queue times in higher tiers). I understand there isn't a one size fits all or easy solution, but right now, at least in bronze -> gold tier, winning and losing feels based more on RNG than skill.

As a side note I've only really played ranked IN crystalline conflict, in FFXIV and beyond, so maybe this is normal, getting stuck in silver I imagine is a meme for a reason, but I figured I'd toss some feedback out there anyways.

I'm fairly certain there's no real matchmaking in CC. I don't even think there's an actual MMR given that we don't even have placement matches. Everyone start out in the same spot as everyone else and the game just kinda "pairs" you with people within a similar range of those ranks.

Despite the problems Halo Infinite has with mixing unranked and ranked into its MMR calculations, I do think they have the best concept of rating you based on performance and if you win or lose. That said, regardless of what SE does for the matchmaking/ratings, good players will win consistently and climb.
