Garo Glam - no Viera support

Hey guys!

As the title says, it's about that Viera can't be part of the Garo-glam-gang, because they can't wear the fullhelmets of this sets. Without the helmets the Garo-glam just looks really weird/incomplete and it feels like, Viera just can't take part in that fun stuff.

For me this feels really sad. What do you guys think about this?

It's not just about 'helmets' this time. And there 'are' fullhelmets that work. So why not this ones?
This time it's more about that Viera (and Hroth) really can't take part in that glamour Garo thingi, because lots of that sets just work in 'full set'. It looks just strange and incomplete without the fullhelmets.
Yeah it's nothing new that Viera are limited, sadly. But this time it really feels more limiting, because they even can't take part in the event fun-glam-stuff of that Garo glam. Like we..., are just no part of it.

That's the point I asked for, what people think about it. :3

Honestly, I only wanted the Garo event to come back just so I can get the Makai healing robes.

The headgear…. Ehhh, I didn’t expect us to be able to wear them, so I guess I was mentally prepared. At the risk of sounding like a negative Nancy, expect less and you won’t be as disappointed

They should honestly just allow it, even if it doesn't make sense.

In Sentai, this character's whole head and snout is somehow able to fit into that helmet. People probably questioned it for 1 whole minute before everyone moved on.

Most people who care enough to question Sentai know not to question Sentai.

I wonder if the "PS" including Hrothgars into the topic was added later, due to the edit that was made.
If so, I just find it funny how many Viera people bring up Viera problems and then just add Hrothgar as an after thought at the end.

I wanted to add, that I am aware that they have the same problem with participating in the Garo event fun glam stuff. :c
And I wanted to ask, how people think about the limited possibility of 'Event activities' in terms of glamour for those races.

But: At least it's much more a problem for the Devs to adjust things for Hroth because of their totally differnt headshape and -structure.
That's why in general it maybe would make more sense to talk about that 2 things in different topics, I guess.
It seems like for Viera it's just a question of 'smaler' adjustments to add things.
For Hroth it seems like it is some kind of 'rework of their complete headstructure' and so on. (if I got Yoshi P. right)

I didn't mean to sound critical or anything.
Like I mentioned, it's juts something that's been on my mind and just finally slipped out.

It's true that Hrothgars have a very unique shape and is for that reason like you said, something different to work with.
I've noticed tho that a bunch of full helmets simply keeps their original shape, completely removing Hrothgars design.
Also shrinks the head many times.
(Looks hilarious with a big bulky armor and a tiny helmet tho)
So I guess that's one way to solve that problem. ./shrug

For Viera it's the ears that's the problem iirc.
How the ears clips through a lot of headgear looked very displeasing so they just decided to not let them wear it.
Clipping has been a common cause of why SE might've not added stuff.
And they seem pretty firm on that regard.
And yes, I can agree that some headgear would looks kind of weird with the adornments and big bunny ears out of nowhere clip through it.
At least Miqo'te got some "horns" on the helmets so the ears can stay inside.


Elder Scrolls Online does a good job with head gear among Humanoid races and Beast races.
The same helmet for a human will change shape to fit the different races.
(not all but many)

I think it would been great if more games did this.

GW2 have their racial armor sets as well.
But was years ago so not sure if they've kept adding armor tailored around the frames of different races or not.
I just remember that a lot of pieces didn't fit well/look good in Charr.

Is the OP playing a hrothgar? Maybe they don't or didn't have knowledge if hrothgar could use the headgear or not? More often than not, neither can use them, but often times hrothgar can use headgear that viera can't use. I'm not sure why lately, many hrothgar players seem to now be taking out their frustrations on viera players.
