I was really happy to see that a lot of items in the game had their gender lock removed this last patch. I'm all for guys wearing skirts (they already did with robes anyway!) and vice versa. This really seemed like progress in allowing us to dress our characters the way we want.


Having not looked at what was available in the online store in quite a few years, I decided just now to try the new Dreamfitting system (lets you try on unbought items from your bed). It was really disheartening to repeatedly see that my character couldn't try on almost half the outfits.


I personally play a female character whose favourite outfit is the WVR twintail suit, not exactly a feminine style. I was looking forward to trying on some lordly outfits, expecting the shop gear to have become less restrictive just like the in game gear. Considering it would mean more people buying more stuff, you'd think SE would be all for making things available, but no.


It's really a shame...
