Serious question

So I won't type a hugely long message, but i've been reading the fourms a bit. Are there any jobs that people actually like? All I keep seeing is how much people hate the game. Truth told I don't feel the same issues that other people feel because i'm easy to please, but i'm curious overall; what job is 'okay' by peoples standards atm.

I'd suggest Dragoon possibly. Haven't seen any negative threads/posts pertaining to it for a while (or I simply missed them), and the only thread I do recall seeing regarding it was a request for it to be nerfed!

Saying that, one shouldn't take 'complaint' threads at face value. In many cases, it's the fact that the players love the job they're referencing, and dislike changes made to that job, that prompted the 'complaint' to be raised.

i wouldn't worry too much about it. People don't come to the forums to express how much they love the game. They come to complain and have their suggestions potentially heard.

Most classes are in a good place. There is no one class that will prevent you from clearing any content. Play what you have fun with, thats what most important.

I like dragoon. I like dragoon the way it currently is. My biggest fear is that they'll one button our combos.

I'm still having fun on Bard and Dragoon and Summoner, to speak of those jobs I've leveled to 90 so far. I've enjoyed all of the jobs, for different reasons. I'm most comfortable with those three though.

If you enjoy a particular job, keep working with it and ignore the forum posts that speak of "doom, disaster and despair".

What you're seeing isn't people that hate the game or hate certain jobs. What they are are people who want those jobs to be better. Providing feedback on what you don't like with a job gives Square an opportunity to fix those issues. Providing feedback on changes that were made that players don't like lets Square know to not do those changes in the future. There's not a whole lot of "discussion" in "I really like X part of Y job" other than "Yeah, me too."

All jobs are "ok" right now. They're all in an "ok" spot. A lot of people suggest checking out Dragoon and that's good if you want to understand why everyone is vocal about changes, because Dragoon is likely to be the next job that people complain about in 6.2.

Don't let people giving negative feedback somehow warp your view on a job though. That negative feedback is meant to say "This job can be better." not "This job is garbage."

I mean, if you need someone to complain about drg because someone hasn't yet, there's a lot of things I can say that I hate about the job. Just sayin', I can, since drg's stuff made me go over to sam in the first place back when it was first introduced. They still haven't fixed a lot of the things I hate about the class.

But generally I imagine a lot of people don't go out and say "this job sucks, buff cuz I want bigger numbers!!!111" or things like that. We all just want a meaningful experience and feeling like we do something that isn't just "1-2-3" over and over.

On the topic of DRG I do miss back in ShB being able to choose when to enter or delay Life of the Dragon. It was something you could ignore entirely and still have fun on DRG but if you wanted to push your damage a bit more the option was there.

in essence, if there is nothing about the job on the forums, the job is in a pretty good spot
