why does my game keep resettung UI and macros

first off i have not adjusted my UI or macros for sometime. a few days ago when i logged out and logged back in all my ui were reset. then today i logged so i could restart my PC and my macros and my ui were reset to the way they were before the server merge. why is this an issue again? and on top of it i cant get my macros back from the most recent file. also i logged out normaly not a d/c.

If you do not logout properly (i.e. the game crashes or abruptly disconnects taking you back to the character login screen) all changes made to your UI, macros, etc, are LOST. If you are properly logging out then something else is afoot, like a rehashing of your character id (or something i really have no idea).
