question about the onion armor

just a simple question that needs to be answered but I have the CE of FFXIV and got the Onion Helm but just wondering where some people get the onion armor?

I could be wrong but I think they're rewards for certain faction leves.

Believe I've seen it drop as a junk AV reward. Also heard you can get it from trading Deaspected Crystals to an NPC.

the deaspected crystal trade is called the peregrine helm. The "Turkey Larping" red onion helm is indeed a drop from one of the av chests.

The onion doublet and the rest of that set can come out of faction leve chests. I want to say they can be found as rewards form the 100 pt leve chests.

They still drop. Keep your eyes peeled and go through all the faction leves after every leve reset to check. I spent like 6 months checking through them to find the Onion Hands until I realized there aren't any, lol.
