Not only that, but he writes a second message today, once again talking about how sorry and ashamed he is for the system not working like it is supposed to.

It really makes me feel like an afterthought, and when people bring it up he has this dismissive attitude about it.

I think it shows the opposite. He's very carefully considering the next step and putting a lot of thought into this. The housing got addressed immediately because it was an obvious error. So it was a no brainer to choose to fix it. Hrothgar and Viera were never designed to be equal races. So what does he do? Does he change the direction of the races design and reworks everything? That is a big thing to consider.

Hopefully not having ears is only a short-term solution. They're also working on Hrothgirls. Creating their hairstyles, making armor fit them and so on. Perhaps they will have fixed versions, on or near the release of female Hrothgar.

hrothgar players have been asking for the racial hairstyles for years, and have been asking for unique hairstyles for just as long. We havent been stomping our feet and throwing a tantrum over it because Yoshi-P had said repeatedly over the years that he wanted to do more beastial hairstyles for hrothgar, and yet here we are 3 years later with nothing to show for it except some REALLY ugly hairstyles that literally no one asked for on hrothgar

I didn't claim you were stamping your feet. I said that Yoshi did addresss it, and asked for people's opinions.

You can provide that opinion respectfully to Yoshi through the forums, or you can try to fight me, taking your frustrations out. The second option isn't the productive one. Especially as I have always hoped (and am strongly on record of) my dear, dear Hroth friends get all their dreams and the
hair they desire.

Arguing and saying irrelevent stuff isn't helpful.

Yoshi admitted he messed up and was taken by surprise, and now asks. So respectfully tell yoshi what you want. Don't lash out at me.

Well, this time we added hairstyles for Hrothgar, and I do want to make a mention on Hrothgar's specification one more time and talk on this. You see, Hrothgar's head part is actually and completely exclusive. Because of that we can achieve that kind of quality and realise the features of Hrothgar along with their hairstyle. Because of this speciality of theirs, Hrothgars originally cannot have hairstyles added...and that was what I mentioned at the start but since then we receive comments like "I want hairstyles to be added" so we tried to accommodate that and we did added it in, but with the condition where the ears are hidden "within the hairstyles" while maintaining the structure of their head. If that's the case, we thought we can gradually start adding hairstyles on them and that was the plan, but now we received a lot of voices saying that it somehow became weird that they don't have ears....

Hmm...well this is something that we're struggling here, currently. Well if this is about an update to XIV...of course this is going to be compared somewhat but even as I say that, we did indeed try to accommodate by adjusting the hairstyle to match the head shape and whatnot but if what we get here was "no this wasn't what we meant" each passing day, then we do have to step back and rethink....well, this will cause the frequency of (hairstyle) addition to drop, but maybe we can create specialized Hrothgar hairstyle that match their head shape? Though this will come in very limited numbers...ummmmmmm....

Creating hairs and furs for Hrothgar is honestly really hard...no joke. ......Hmmm, what should we do...Right, it is indeed troubling...Well even if you tell us to hurry up and find a solution we can't do that because it indeed takes time for us to. So I would appreciate it if you can send us your feedback to the official forums so that we can look into it. The people in the community team will gather and round up the feedback and report to the team. Once again, I want people to understand that the head shape of Hrothgar is really unique and specially made here, and we created and implement them this way thinking the Furries will be happy with this, so I'll be happy if please can understand that it's done completely different from other races in the game.

Do note that he will keep reviewing the OF and he welcome your feedback and voice on the matter. Once again, I'll say this, Do it politely and do NOT bitch, whine, gaslight or guilt trip. Just state out your disappointment and your reason politely. Push for a change and they'll look into it.

I think my main problem is that he shouldn't have been surprised at all (and I really don't think he was, he seemed more annoyed than anything), given the feedback he has received for 3+ years roughly. Not trying to fight you, for the record, but I just find his response rather tone deaf. I feel like I've been saying "tone deaf" a lot the last few days, but there's not really any better term to describe what I've been witnessing.

I don't deny it Vahlnir. It's just possible he has never had any exposure to Kemono players before. I dunno, it's him.

But he wants to listen now. Even if it's three years too late.
