Free companies do not want smalls, please open them to private buyers

Having the retroactive decision of wards 1-18 be FC only was silly to start, but ishgard has this for many wards were M/L are taken but almost all the smalls are availabe, heres ward1 subdevision Faerie.

Simple As, smalls are virtually too small for guildes and most are avoiding it since they can pull money for bigger, there will always be more individual players than fcs.

In other news if u want a house just quit your current and make a dummy FC i guess, all you can eat in that regard.

There is a live letter on July 1, and I think by August latest there will be another sugar hit of property as some of the wards are swapped over.

But its only a sugar hit, and won't solve the gap we can see between people currently bidding and available properties - even with all those smalls.

There are FCs that wanted smalls (mine was one). That's an invalid reason to switch the FC purchase wards to personal purchase.

A good reason to use is that any FC that did not have but wished to get a house has had 4 lottery periods to do so. The number of plots still available indicates that demand is mainly filled. It does not help the game to leave hundreds of plots empty on every world, encouraging players who want a house for personal use to turn to shell FCs to get one.

If you would take more than 1 second to think about this, you would realize that this makes 0 sense.
If those all were M's and L's, they would still stand empty, it' about the amount of buyers vs. available plots, not the nature of the plot.

And on top of that, personal buyers also don't want smalls. Everyone with enough gil to burn tries for an upgrade when given the chance...

The FCs that keep competing for M and L instead of going for a good small with 0 bid are going to regret it later.
Secure your FC a house by spending 3 mil and try to upgrade in the future when M and L are available than waiting till all the players are competing for the smalls (which will contain solo FCs). It is going to happen.

I just left my relatively inactive FC and, with some RL friends creating alt characters, created a FC. I'd much rather have a house than a FC anyway (even if it has to be a small), which seems more possible than dealing with <1% odds on the individual market. After the 30-day "new FC" limit to bidding, I'll hopefully finally get one.

Another advantage of a FC is you can share a house with your alts if you have any. One of my biggest pet peeves is that we can't still with a private house and given that personal FC's are the way to go for many of us. I'm more than happy with a small and it allows me to share the house with a few select fiends as well.

The amount of time SE has given to FC acquisition is simply pushing people to do what you're doing and I don't blame you one bit. Any serious FC would have been able to get their house in the first few rounds. It's not like it was sprung on the community we knew about housing for quite some time. What they've done only invites abuse with some buying up entire wards for air/subs and resale.

Mine had to pick a small because there is no open large or medium plots for FC's when last looked. Should make only small plots for private housing and the rest for FC's.

Any FC house at all > no house. FCs still are the only groups that have more shall we say "legitimacy" for owning a plot. Workshop / Airship systems, on top of 10/20/30 extra private rooms. But this also plays on the fact that people wants to be a part of an FC house and share it, rather than own one themselves. We've seen people want their own house, purely for bragging rights before.

I do still relish in the thought that whenever SE had given FCs explicit advantage in house ownership, hardly anyone actually used that advantage. Then they cried when SE took it away, despite them having weeks, if not a month to get their pick.

Seriously. Just get -any- house. Get your foot in the door, then worry about upgrading. You don't go straight for a Mansion when you're homeless. If you don't get that mansion you want? That's fine, you still have that little cottage.

My FC is a small, best lot in the Goblet Ward 1, plot 50 right next to the waterfall and in front of the pool Works just fine for our needs.
