Is everyone cheating now in CC?

I've not noticed hacking with HP, but in one of my matches last night I had a DRG and a NIN on the opposing team that every time I cast LB (as AST) I was insta downed. Like as I cast it. It was the strangest thing. I would watch them be busy with other team mates, then automatically kill me the second my LB went out. I don't think it's possible for a normal person to have those kind of reflexes. I just hope SE does something soon as it's really frustrating

I've noticed this as well.

The instant I pop LB sometimes, I will immediately get chain CC'd and/or burst down so quickly at times that it seems genuinely inhuman and I assume it's probably the scripters realizing the deadly nuke potential of a LB buffed AST and making them a "priority" target...

The worst part is that the animation lock from AST's LB is just long enough that you won't necessarily be able to even get a single action off before you die.

I haven't seen anything like this on Light data center, but maybe its more prevalent on the NA servers?

I know bards are way underpowered in dps compared to the other classes, but I should not be able to pump 5 fully buffed skills into someone and their health bar just doesn't even move. And I'm not talking about pounding on the tank. I'm talking about NIN, SAM, DRG, MNK, SGE, WHM, SCH, BLM, SMN, RPR, RDM, MCH, DNC, and even other bards. I can see laying into a tank and their health bar hardly moves. They're a TANK; it's to be expected, but these other classes, something is not right.

Oh, this phenomenon doesn't happen against every player. Just sometimes, particularly once I get up to about Silver 1.

I'll say this much-- of all the videos out there exposing how the cheats in CC are happening, I'd say Quazil did the best job on his channel of exhibiting the rampant hacks/cheats/exploits that are being used in CC. As such, I shrewdly expect that we will soon see a version of LM-17 and LM-31 in FFXIV.

I repeat-- LM-17 and LM-31 will be unleashed in FFXIV Crystalline Conflict-- just watch it happen. To those who never played FFXI, I wager you might be among the people who will be wondering-- "What the heck are these freaking codes? What do they mean??"

These were the code names for the massive bans that Square Enix unleashed in FFXI sometime in November 2008. Before the bans came, a massive number of players confidently bragged that they would never be caught using a certain avenue in the game that allowed them to essentially cheat in Salvage and Assault. In response, SE calmly rolled up their sleeves, investigated extensively and went as far as gathering a year's worth of logs throughout all areas. A year's worth-- true story.

When the bans came, it was a massacre-- first round decimated and permanently banned the accounts of the ringleaders which amounted to 550 players. Next round tore through about 400 or 4000 players who got temporarily suspended ranging between 30 to 90 days or something along those lines. I forget the details of the further rounds of punishments-- but you get the idea. Trust me when i say FFXIV Devs and GMs have a truly impressive array of tools that they can use to investigate this stuff. The reason why it will take a while to catch the cheaters is that it usually involves manpower resources being pulled from more important tasks in order to spend time on the investigations.

The cheating in CC has gotten so bad that last weekend, I did a full 19-hour stream on one of my alts (with breaks inbetween of course)-- just to prove to my viewers that I could not evolve past Bronze rank due to the cheaters. Note that this test was done while fully utilizing all the meta jobs to their max potential (WAR, SAM, WHM)

Right now, I understand that numerous players have already started emailing the Devs directly with proof of the insane cheating happening-- so yeah, I reckon that it will just be a matter of time before the bans surely come. Crystalline Conflict in itself is an amazingly fun event and during the first week, I had a blast-- but the cheats have been beyond horrendous and Yoshi has now taken notice.

"I didn't have a problem, therefore there is no problem." That's a logical fallacy if I've ever seen one.

I still wouldn't say cheaters are common at this point, but you can definitely tell if they're present when you're consistently unable to perform certain actions without getting dogpiled by CC and/or burst within a fraction of a second and while the suspect players in question were already pre-occupied with fighting others.

No question. I ranked all 4 of my characters into Crystal for kicks. I played the first as WHM, the second as BRD, the third as SCH, and the fourth as AST.
If this guy is hardstuck Bronze playing supposedly "OP" jobs, it sure as heck isn't because of cheaters.
There's this underrated factor called "I'm extremely bad at the game" that a lot of folks overlook when they're analyzing their matches.

Getting to Crystal is really, really not that hard.
