Massive rmt bot problem in materia

This is a housing primal doing it to own ward 2 on all servers. Once the zero problem is ironed out they will fill out all 30 houses over 5 servers. So thats 150 houses over 19 paid accounts, costing a minimum of US$190 a month (assuming the legacy pricing)

Agree or disagree with them... It's an impressive feat, and I am curious how long it will be until SE stomp on it.

Edit: got my maths wrong, it's 30/8 not 150/8 so... 4 accounts, or US$40 a month minimum depending on the subscription type.

Well, they've had zero comments on Materia since the datacentre launched, and all feedback feels like shouting down an empty corridor. They've also ignored the people on other datacentres who own entire wards (was it Malboro that one guy owns an entire neighbourhood?) despite the extremely high demand for housing.

So, I think they will stomp on it....never. /shrug

In the meantime, we still have enough houses for FCs and I have little doubt SE will allow solos into those lower wards in a few lotteries. So, outside of salt, he's not really affecting anyone at this time.

In a few years, if they are still up, it's a big neener neener. But for now, meh. Report to STF and see what they do, test SE and see if they are serious.

If there's no botting or other hacks involved, I doubt STF will touch it.

We already know GMs won't touch housing related reports because they're "outside the scope of GM authority".

The owner hasn't actually done anything against the game rules. The restriction is "has a character that owns as buyer" and once you dump the character that made the purchase out of the FC, they no longer "own as buyer".

All we can hope is that rubbing it into SE's face that hard while there are players still unable to obtain a single house might get them to wake up.

We previously discussed and I know you agreed that they left housing closed on Materia too long. We saw these FCs being levelled (not that getting to 6 is hard), it's just proof of our original idea from months ago that SE were leaving this too long was true.

Honestly, as a Materia player, on one of the servers with it, it doesn't bother me that much. In a small way (I'll likely get flamed for this hot take) I admire their flex, if they pull off the whole ward, five times over, they've knocked Alice's single ward on Spriggan off her perch and out of the ballpark.

The GMs are powerless here, we know this. The STF are ... too busy. And come those new NA servers later in the year... with 90 days before housing unlocks... guess what!? (well, you can imagine ) heh.

But yes, rubbing it in their faces is the thing, and especially when Yoshida Naoki is actually looking at logs himself.

But I have little doubt it will probably stay, and in a few years when Materia is booming, it will likely cause salt and drama with homeless people.

I got my FC house BTW - although zero bugged - so I am happy. Thanks for your good wishes a while back, they helped me win !

I agree to for the most part. For now it isn't a problem when several private wards on servers that aren't Ravana have no applicants on any of the plots, but it is something that I think we should be keeping an eye on. Materia is growing. Slowly but sure, our little sprout DC is growing.

Maybe Malboro has this issue, but I remember a girl and her friend who owned a ward and a half in Spriggan. She was particularly infamous because she was incredibly corrosive and combative with people who, well, disagreed heavily with her right to do that, so I'm thinking that's what you might be remembering.
