Game Forcequitting Constantly on Patch Day (6.11)

I cleanly installed the 6.11 patch. I logged into my character on Aegis (Elemental DC) and, while attempting to do P1S, the game would eventually stutter in movement into a force quit. Similarly, I logged into my character on Sephirot (Materia DC) and, while doing the Sage LVL80 solo duty, the game would do the same as previously mentioned.

For the Aegis (Elemental DC) character, I logged into Radz-at-Han and completed 3 Ranked PvP matches. None of those matches had any issues. As soon as I entered into P1S, the force quits began.

For the Sephirot (Materia DC) character, I believe I logged into Dravanian Hinterlands (the zone that has Anyx Trine/Tailfeather) and was where the LVL80 Solo Duty is to commence. I entered into the solo duty and the game force quit post mid-duty cutscene.

I believe it's worth mentioning that these instances of the game force quitting without any error attached also occurred on the patch day of 6.1. I would attempt to talk to Tataru in the Rising Stones and, before the completion of the first cutscene, the game would force close without any warning. The only fix I had was to use the "Restore Game Data" feature in the launcher and the next day there were no force quits.

I have attempted to run the game on DX9 and the force quits still occur. My instance of FF14 is installed on an external hard drive, however both the launcher and the game client boot up and run smoothly, so I have no reason to believe that the external hard drive is at fault. I have no applications that start up automatically. I am currently in the "Restore Game Data" process and hope that this issue is fixed by tomorrow morning.

UPDATE (27 April, 2022): I completed the "Restore Game Data" process and the game is still force closing and is still not showing any errors. I am attempting to log into my Sephirot (Materia DC) character and the game either force closes immediately, or shortly after I enter into the world. I am thinking of doing a full reinstallation of the game to see if that will be a fix.

I had no issues with any force closing prior to the 6.1 patch.

UPDATE (27 April, 2022): I successfully reinstalled the game to be met with more force quits. Initially upon booting up the game, I successfully completed The Royal Menagerie and exited cleanly. However, upon advancing the MSQ further, post-credits I was abruptly force quit out of the game. It is getting to the point where I can successfully get into the character selection screen, however regardless of Data Center the game will force quit as soon as I log into the world.

UPDATE (27 April, 2022): I swapped over to DX9 and the game is now functioning without any force quits. I briefly tested to see if it would run on DX11, however the game force quit me before I could do anything. Regardless, as much as this is a temporary fix, I would prefer to be able to run this game on DX11.

I had a similar issue to the Tataru stuff when 6.1 dropped. I couldn't go through the cutscene at all. I had to do what you did and Restore game data which made it work. But I've noticed a few things since then. Before 6.1 I could do endwalker stuff with no issue. Now If I go into a Endwalker dungeon or a Shadowbringers dungeon, and get to a boss. MY game will either force close, or FFXIV_DX11.exe error. Or I would get a ndtll.dll error. I've tried everything to fix this. and am tempted to do a fresh/clean install of the game on a different drive to see if that fixes the issue. Mind you, I am also on a 7 year old laptop with it's graphics card no longer being updated due to Eol. So it could just be that, but I could do EW and SHB content no issue back in march before the patch.

As for DX9. I have had a little more success with it then DX11. But I do get the occasional force close with no error, and sometimes get one with the error. I may at some point just do a clean reinstall and see if that fixes the issues. Cause maybe the files are just corrupt.

I have been experiencing something very similar today. First noticed it a few hours into playing when I tried to do my Frontline roulette kept getting DX11 errors then after a while I stopped getting those errors and starting just stuttering then crashing to desktop. I noticed that this seems to happen (almost) solely while in any sort of group content. I haven't updated/changed anything within the last 24hrs so I immediately

    -Updated my graphics drivers
    -Updated Windows
    -Restart my computer
    -Restored game data
    -Reinstalled the game

None of these things worked. I also noticed in Event Viewer that I'm getting various errors or sometimes none at all when I crash. The errors I've seen have been

Although the first seems to happen the most often. I have no idea what else I could do to fix this, as nothing changed between yesterday and today (beyond Patch 6.11)
