    Increase weekly tombstones of Astronomy

    There are so many jobs in the game now. 450 is too low. The process takes an absurdly long amount of time. Doesn't need to be that way.

    The Upper Tomestone once had a weekly cap of 300. Be glad that they long ago upped it to 450.

    That said, the 300 (and the 450) were chosen to limit how fast you can upgrade to new Tomestone gear. It is no different than having the limit of one item per raid event (or per alliance raid) per week.

    We have the same amount of job roles in this expansion as we did in the last. The amount of tome gear to obtain hasn't increased. I personally am not in favor of increasing the cap.

    Also, the cap is usually increased to 900 at some point during the odd-numbered patches. So just continue that grind

    Exactly. Reaper, sage, dancer, etc didn't add more types of equipment to the game. They just rolled those jobs into the maiming/healing/aiming/etc sets that already exist. The number of individual tomestone gear sets hasn't changed since Heavensward (IIRC, 3.0 was the last time they had job specific tome gear.)

    The only new categories are weapons, which got a price cut in Endwalker to compensate for the increasing number of jobs.

    To be fair, tome gear is fairly worthless. Sure, I get it when I have the spare tomes since I have nothing else to spend them on. But unless you are a raider, who generally buys and melds crafted gear instead anyway, the ilvl and power difference between the 8/24 man gear and the tome gear is relatively insignificant unless you are doing ultimate. And if you are doing savage/extremes, then you get savage/extreme gear which makes tome gear pretty irrelevant in most cases since you are usually already in melded crafted gear + extreme/savage gear.

    It's just a system put in place to make non-raiders feel more powerful, but that power is pretty empty when you are just running expert every day anyway. Raising the tome cap would make it more relevant for raiders to get a starter set on and really make very little difference to non-raiders from a purely game play standpoint. So, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

    You don't need to have the best tomestone gear for every role. Focus on the roles you play the most. Supplement with the raid gear (or crafted gear if you can afford it).

    That usually doesn't happen until the X.58 patch when we move into hold mode waiting for the next expansion to release.
