As others have already stated, Series progress isn't limited to Crystalline Conflict. Keep in mind that Series Malmstones lasts until the next major patch, not until the current PvP season ends.i wish i could simply not play Crystaline Conflict, but thats not an option. there are items locked to the season that will disappear from existence for an unknown amount of time once the 'season' ends, some of which require well over a hundred games to even get to. this is triggering my OCD. this is depressing to people who hated pvp and wanted simple things like some sunglasses or some dressing for the new card system.
To reach rank 25, you'll need a total of 108,000 Series exp. Frontlines will give you 1000 exp for ending 3rd place. CC will give you 700 on a loss. Knowing this, you could either:
1. Limit yourself to a daily frontline roulette. Even if you were to get 3rd place on every single one, it'd take you 108 days (15.5 weeks, just under 4 months).
-or-
2. Limit yourself to 3 matches of CC every day, which takes roughly the same amount of time as a single frontline roulette. This will give you 2100 exp per day, if you lose every match. This way, it'd take you 52 days (7.5 weeks).
The Series rewards also won't disappear at the end. With the start of the 2nd Series, you'll be able to purchase the 1st Series rewards using Trophy Crystals. This effectively means that you'll have a total of 8 months to obtain these items. They have stated this in the most recent Live Letter.
No offense OP, but it really sounds like you shouldn't be playing games like this if its that detrimental to your health.

+1.
As someone who has some level of OCD in wanting to get _everything_ available, I had to accept the fact that not only won't happen, but doesn't need to happen. I started in 5.1 so there are already plenty of things that I missed out on, I'm sure that there are already plenty of things that you missed out on too.
The mindset that I have now is trying to keep up with temporary items first (i.e. Seasonal events), then try to work on things that are around all of the time, like that minion. As many people have mentioned, there is frontline if you would rather do that (I don't understand the hatred for CC though, it's fairly quick and in casual you don't typically have people that play very well so expectations are low).
You should really look into talking to somebody if it's affecting you this much though. The game isn't the problem.

OP if this game is such a burden for your MH then you need to remove ff14 from you real life and focus on your mental health.

Not liking PVP is not a good reason.
Guess what, there are other things in this game you can't get unless you do that content.
Hate Verminion? Too bad, you can't get the achievement minions.
Hate Baldesian Arsenal but want the shiny glam? Too bad!
Hate Ultimate and want those shiny weapons too? TOO BAD!
Hate chocobo breeding/racing but feel that NEED to collect all the bardings, which means you need to do the last challenge? TOO BAD!
I could go on and on.
It sucks you hate PVP and can't force yourself to do it, but the idea that it shouldn't have any meaningful rewards because you don't like it, when there are others that do, is absolutely self-centered.

With the state PvP is in (Lots of cheaters/hackers, 4 incredibly OP easy to pilot classes) the only reason you are in PvP is to get the cosmetic stuff. Otherwise it is not worth the anguish of dealing with WAR/WHM/SAM/DRG every match in CC, or over half of the teams being WAR/WHM/SAM/DRG/RDM/NIN/SMN/Whatever else in Frontlines.
