Nope!
I am awfully distracted lately (had a fractured wrist after hiking).
My bad

I'm grateful to those who came in here, loathing forums (God knows, I hate them all with the white-hot intensity of 1000 suns) - and who stick around to make sure it's not forgotten. I have a friend who posted once, decided it was futile and didn't come back to post again - and hasn't touched Samurai since. There are probably many who did the same.
I'm still *displeased* that they so specifically requested feedback, and then said NOTHING after it was overwhelmingly delivered.
That said, I understand forums are whiny, disgruntled over pretty much everything. (though unlike some, I don't feel the need to correct them or tell them how wrong they are to be displeased - that takes a special kind of troll.) So I get why it might take awhile to realize this may be a bit more than the typical whining. I'm finally taking my Lala-Samurai to 90 - I'd put it off with hope, but I'm down to my last 2, and I decided I don't want to finish on something that makes me sad, so it's dragoon to finish instead. I was lucky to take my bunny-Sam while Kaiten still lived.
It's so depressing! So flat, so hollow, so EMPTY. I miss my methodical flourish, that sense there's an art behind the samurai job. I love jobs that seem like they're just flinging themselves into it - but that wasn't the Samurai. They were artists. Now they're just bored, depressed - ex-artists who now do bad art in malls...

Was observing discussions on the balance discord, among them " Stella " noting out interesting points. I seem to learn a lot from this individual... 1 stood out for me. " SE's inconsistency in job design. "
Kaiten, mostly a flavor skill, removed with 6.1. Reason? button bloat and design restrictions. SE's Reasoning Debunked, but no response to our feedback for months. So? Why only SAM? make it consistent. Remove every flavor skill from all jobs for the same reasons.
- Removing Flavor Skills
SAM got hit with the big Auto-Crit changes. Boring, stale gameplay now. So? Make it consistent. All jobs get fixed the same way with auto crits. NIN has the singular biggest variance hit, while BLM has the Highest variance performance, BLM untouched but not SAM? inconsistency.
- Tackling DPS Variance
I don't want any other job to get worse cause mine got worse, that solves nothing. But where's the consistency from SE?. Either everything Auto-Crits or not. Every job has Flavor skills or not.
- The summary?
Cause it seems like we're just waiting for the next job(s) to be screwed over every expansion/major-patch change. Players hearing the word " rework " from the dev's in fear of how bad its going to be? is a bad tradition instead of expecting SE to care and give equal attention to each job.

I feel the need to say, since I'm leveling Sam in mid-80s now, that I hate Shinten. It's the least satisfying ability imaginable. I'm so glad I got my bunny through this while he still had Kaiten. And indeed, I do keep hitting my former-Kaiten key, which is ok because I replaced it with something reasonable. But Shinten - my relationship to its miserableness is untenable.
Revert!

What, "fix blm" by making it have less variance? You know they wouldn't do that... Not as long as its a job the head honcho plays!

Misshapen Chair's new video of every job, while comedic, somehow feels painfully accurate. Tons of Kaiten removal meme's included.

Larryzaur made a funny video.https://youtu.be/v2Z9rvtNWnQ
Basically how I felt when I was using samurai without kaiten. I still miss kaiten though. I was watching one of my old videos and was just sad that it's gone.

You could also put in original post a fun fact about state of JP forum - SAM megathread had about 190 pages before changes were announced, now it's at 347 pages. That's over 155 pages in just 3.5 months, compared to remaining 190 pages in nearly 5 years. Not the most accurate metric, but it still has some indicative value.
