Thread: Compiled SAM threads against 6.1 changes / Kaiten removal

Bringing this thread back up because it's relevant. I'm sure people are hopeful something will change tonight, but big doubts there. Maybe they'll finally have some time to write that statement regarding their reasons for these changes finally after this patch.

While I have doubts, I will maintain some semblance of hope for this to be addressed finally.

If they don't acknowledge the feedback soon and commit to fixing it, I'm unsubbing. I don't think I've done that since Stormblood came out, because SAM revitalized the game for me after I was thoroughly bored with PLD. I know this is a limiting way to play the game, but I just like being a SAM main. None of the other jobs I have tried appeal to me in the same way, you can check my profile to see them all. I haven't tried everything, but I've tried all the jobs that I thought I might like based on aesthetics, playstyle and role.

I don't currently play WoW, but if Retribution paladins felt this bad to play, I would not go back, because that's my main. I don't think I have any other classes at 60 over there right now. I started playing alts more seriously in Legion, but still none of them have clicked with me quite like how Ret paladin does.

If they're going to leave SAM like this, and worse, start making changes like this to other DPS jobs, I see no reason to continue playing FFXIV. I guess if it had to happen, at least I got to finish the Endwalker MSQ first, which is in a way like finishing the game. At least I got to see the end of the original story I started in ARR. I really don't want to leave though. The only other MMOs I'm currently enjoying are rogue servers for dead games, or live servers for other games that are so niche that they will never have XIV's budget and production quality.

Well, it was a stretch, and unfortunately it just didn't reach. Then again, minor patch update, no way they could adjust actions in that *cough* pvp got some adjustments....

Still nothing about SAM from the devs.

I guess we can expect to see people bump this thread complaining after each patch? It's sad. You all just need to get over it already. Kaiten is gone. Deal with it, pick a new job, or unsub already.

I've since swapped to my tank since GNB and SAM were the only things I've leveled so far in EW. Working on other roles for the role quest, but SAM was my main.

I am not going to quit a final fantasy game, but yes... yes, you can expect thread bumps until we get some kind of acknowledgement from the devs that asked us to go to the forums.

SAM complained enough for Hagakure to come back. SCH complained enough for Energy Drain back.

We're going to keep bringing up these topics until it gets addressed.

If that's such a problem for you, you can simply not bother reading the thread yourself. Deal with it, go to a new page, or unsub already.

People complaining about the complaints should have their main jobs neutered. See how they like it.

My main job was essentially neutered. You don't see me or others who main it on here bitching and whining about it.

It was. It feels absolutely soulless to play now, like playing a Pugilist rather than a Monk.

That's your problem then. Complain about it. Make your displeasure known and do not give in until your complaints are heard and understood. You deserve it just as much as us.
