I liked it, but I wished this version was the actual final boss difficulty in Story Mode.
Just seems appropriate to me.
It was a pretty good fight mechanically imo
But I expect a lot more spectacle from an EX story final boss trial and it absolutely did not deliver. At least make the spectacle on par like SoS EX did.
Endsingers aria difficulty is fine. Hard enough for casuals to feel like they are doing more difficult content, which is the purpose, as they are on a scale behind savage which is behind ultimate ect. The part I feel disappointed in was how flat it fell after the joke that was zodiacs fight. Like where's the spectacle? The mid fight Black screen cutscene thingy? The music change? It just plays out like eh.
That being said I personally miss the difficulty of the old exs. I was there for skip soar or disband, and I'll never forget it lol
This is still an extreme, nothing new though ? It's a fun fight to learn and then it becomes very trivial when farmed. If anything it's so much more interesting than Hydaelin ex.
Maybe one day we will get a "ballad of the end" an ultimate for the EW trails.

Nah, Seat of Sacrifice EX was a considerably difficult/great fight despite being an EX. It was harder than P1S and P2S no contestEndsinger Ex is one of the better extreme primals they've dropped in years.
also lmao at "hard fights", the last hard Extreme trial they dropped was Thordan Extreme.
anyway, these are fights we're suppose to kill 99 times. horrible tacked on add phases and annoying story cutscenes can stay tf out. the fact it gives 2 totems per kill is icing on the cake.
You say the previous two EXs were harder, yet the sad truth is, is that those have been the easiest EXs we've gotten in a while. Hell Zodiark just needs two competent people to mark and the fight boils down to follow the circle or the triangle.
I feel the same way about most of the trials in this game, except perhaps Hydaelin ex. There's no real spectacle or anything that makes these fights stand out. Zodiark just sits in the front of the arena the entire time until he's dead (He does have a phase transition where... he takes his mask off? Then the fight just continues without any noticeable changes). He doesn't compare to Titania, who started in one room, and transitioned into a beautiful outdoorsy area, with an add phase that made the fight look and feel epic. Also that fight was harder. Even Hades normal mode had more of a spectacle than Endsinger extreme.
I mean idk at the end of the day it's still a fun fight. Maybe the team is being stretched thin due to redesigning a lot of the ARR dungeons and boss fights? I can understand that, but they could have addressed the fact that the new trials were going to be cut back in terms of spectacle.
