Seriously, I had an easier time staying awake in the navel. I don't know what's more pathethic, the fact that there's no phase 2 or that this is intermediate relativity for all the kiddies still in daycare. Look at the previous boss extremes. They were actual hard versions of the fights with new tidbits of lore and interesting mechanics. Instead we got this steaming pile of [devs read forums so i cant be mean :c]. Perhaps all the budget went to the visuals and the team buying their own y'shtola dolls? We should have convinced sqenix that the earth was flat. Maybe then they would have spent more time actually designing a fight instead of a pretty planet that crashes into my dps players.

Was a fun fight to work out, and as much as I loved Hades having all those transitions of just sitting around picking at my belly button, yeah, I prefer no extra phases over it. Fair cop it isn't hard, but EX fights normally aren't, they are meant to be a tiering rung for people of varying skill levels. Zodiark still my favourite, but I had fun in Esinger.

When I saw the normal version, I was worried the EX version would keep the extra length cutscene. I'm glad that isn't there, at the very least. Difficulty wise, it feels about right for an extreme, though it requires a lot of memorization for sure.

I was really expecting more...spectacle from the EX of the boss that's not just the endboss of an expansion but of an entire story arc and at least one new phase; especially because they explicitly stated the fight would have "several" phases in one of the pre-6.1 interviews, though maybe that was a mistranslation of "mechanics".

Thordan's twist was having the original end of the fight just be the beginning, Shinryu had its ground phase, and Hades EX had a drastically different add phase and burn phase, so I was expecting something similar here.

The two totems don't feel warranted when there's no significant periods of downtime compared to Hades EX or Diamond Weapon and while I certainly don't lament a faster mount/weapon grind, it made me think there was going to be more then there actually was.

Endsinger Ex is one of the better extreme primals they've dropped in years.

also lmao at "hard fights", the last hard Extreme trial they dropped was Thordan Extreme.

anyway, these are fights we're suppose to kill 99 times. horrible tacked on add phases and annoying story cutscenes can stay tf out. the fact it gives 2 totems per kill is icing on the cake.

I did like this fight. More than diamond or any other weapon extreme. Was I expecting more? Sure. Am I disappointed? Not really.
The DPS check is non existant though, even after using the healer LB3 and having additional deaths.

I was surprised there was no add phase.
Like, in story mode we had that small add and I thought we'd get at least 2 of them (2 adds at the same time) at least in EX.

I liked the fight from what I've done of it thus far, but it does feel incomplete and I felt like they were overextending the gesture in difficulty when they were advertising the fight, which doesn't really help.

We did have a ~1% wipe, but only because there was a chance to finish it. Probably would have if I didn't die to that third red planet like a nub.
